I've only owned my yamaha fz6 for a year and a half, and before that an XC diversion for another year and half. Being a Yama owner for 3 years (the entirety of my riding time) I'm afraid to say I'm going to defect. I've had three years of sensible bikes and now I want something more of toy than before. After test riding a new Ktm duke 690 for an afternoon and finding a great offer at my local dealer I have decided to bite the bullet Not to worry though, I am still I keen biker and pro Yama so I won't be leaving this great community How many others have defected / come back?

Chris 'Hampo' Hampshire had his two bikes stolen from round the back of his appartment in Newcastle last night. It would be great if you could all keep your eyes out and also post this on any other forums you go on. I know the chances of getting them back are slim but there is always hope. The details I have are as follows; Yamaha RD350YPVS Reg number D50KJT, frame and engine number 1WT004499 Yamaha RD500LC Reg number A538MWD frame and engine number 57x The 500 was immaculate, the 350 had nearly 70,000 miles on the clock and was his much loved, well travelled old faithful.

Well I'm gutted, was just out in the shed doing some bits and bobs and generally tidying up when I bumped into betty and she went down, catching my thigh on the way. Thankfully nothing is broken bar one of my piss poor weldings on the exhaust and the floor as the foot peg buried its self into it. Here's a fresh pic of my leg it's about 8-9 inches if you wanna know bippo and sash, and the cut is about 7 inches. Gunna have a very nice bruise in the coming days.

I own an XJ6 and just bought myself some renthal streetfighter handle bars, they are approx 100mm longer than standard bars si when I fitted then the cables were pulling too tight, has anybody fitted longer bars and got over the problem I have? I know I've seen somewhere an XJ6 with these type of bars on so I'm guessing it can be done. Also if someone's reading this could some one give me the measurement from top of yoke to centre of handles bars as I'm thinking that the risers I have on may not be the originals and hindering the fitting of the new bars ... Thanks muchly )))

Hellooo everyone, In just a few days the all new Yamaha R1 will be released - well, not for sale but we'll know all about it. I thought I'd start this thread as a place we can post images, info and links to the news as it comes out. I find Asphalt and Rubber to be a pretty quick source of news, so that one will be worth keeping an eye on. TheRideAdvice is stating they're going to do a live blog. And this will be an actual stream from Milan for the unveiling. If you have anything you want to add let me know!

Six weeks ago, in the last week of October, the Beast and I parted company at 50mph and rolled down the road separately for a while. The cast comes off my left wrist tomorrow and I still have a brace on my right knee but that's getting there. However it is with heavy heart that I report the parting of the Beast. I'm told that my beloved TR1 is not repairable. I now have to wait for the insurers to find a market value for a bike that is as rare as unicorn teeth (good luck with that one) so that they can decide what they believe it was worth.

A couple of years ago when I reached the ripe old age of 60, my late wife who was a good few years younger than me looked at me with that innocent smile on her face that told me she was about to take the piss, with a straight look on her face she said your old enough now to use the old peoples day center. FFS, anyway I told her that I can't stand bingo or Vera Lynne or any of the crap that they seem to do but if they started selling cheap booze and playing rock music I might consider going. Just lately I have been tempted to rock up on my reasonably loud cruiser, park next to the mobility scooters give the throttle a blip and walk in just to see what the reaction would b…

Hiya all, I'm sad to report that, due to my ignorance, my 15 year old Dragstar 125 has broke. I've had here for a thousand miles and She's been running lean due to cracks in manifold forcing my to ride full choke so I don't get killed on a12, all this has put too much force through a slack chain which has bent the neutral switch and bent a bolt which caused an oil leak so today is fixing that oil leak charge battery and see if she starts and see if we can diagnose any engine damage from the oil leak. Now, if there is engine damage then I have been told maybe a big bore kit is way to go in terms of repair and upgrade. Thanks to this forum I already found out I need…

Hi, Wasn't really sure where to post this but here goes. I just got my DT 125 MX through its MOT and was wondering if anyone had any name suggestions, it's silver. Only characteristic I've noticed so far is that it wrecks my nuts every time I sit on it. Thanks
