Hi all, Just wanted to say hello and ask a question. For the last 3 years i've owned a Peugeot Vivacity 100cc scooter (it's for sale on Ebay) and use it to get to work on. Anyway i want to take my bike test, but need a geared bike to get a bit of practice and take my test on. I was looking at a Jinlun JL125-11 for the style, but thought i might as well buy a cheap Yamaha SR125 instead. Ive not bought anything yet, but will do in the next week. Can someone please tell me the seat hight on the SR125 ?

Starting up motocross next year, im going to be 15 years old! So ill be old enough to enter a 250cc class I've never rode motocross, but I've got quite a good feel for bikes as ive riden for 9 years through woods, fields and trials, I currentley have a dt 125, as people have told me i should get a 250cc to start on with motocross because ive already got a 125 (I know there's a big difference between a dt and a yz) Im fairly tall like 5 foot 10, im 11 stone, so would a 250 be a good bike to start on? Or a 125? Im sensible on bikes im not crazy! Your opinion on what cc I've i should get?

I have just bought a Yamaha XT 125 X and while I love it, I now want a two stroke sports bike. I want a two stroke simply because they are a lot faster. Before I bought my XT I wanted an Aprilia RS but couldn't find one local to me, so settled for my XT. I am looking to spend about £1000 - £1500, I was looking at TZR's which I must admit look the business. What would you suggest?

hello there peeps, I'm in a bit of a dilemma, i'm planning on doing my cbt soon and am stuck between 2 bikes. The yzf r125 and the dt 125. I've hear good things about the dt but its not as pretty as the yzf r125. i'm not too fussed about going off road to be honest so i'd tend to lean towards the sports bikes - no pun intended. so what's that got to do with 250's? well, i asked my nan for help to buy my bike, but she's just offered to give me a couple of grand for one. which is great as i'm not made of money, or well off enough to get it myself. with that in mind, i emailed the place where they do the cbt's and they said i could do a direct access course thing…

I mentioned in my intro that yesterday I became the owner of a Oct'2011 Yamaha 125 YBR (EFI). Back in the 90's I had a 50cc Yamaha FS1E to get me to work/college and back. I am so far really impressed with with my purchase and very pleased with the Yamaha Dealer in Waltham Cross in Hertfordshire.

I've noticed a lot of threads on whether a 125cc bike is capable of touring, so I thought I'd add my two penneth. Based on my last 7 days, yes they are. Over the last 7 days, I've covered 468 miles, none of it on motorways. I took a 4-stroke YBR-125 and I didn't have a single hiccup. Last Saturday, 210 miles in 6hrs 15. South Wales to North Devon. Problems: none except chain had to be tightened a bit the next day. Mostly A and B roads. Wednesday, 57 miles in 1hr 30, North Devon to South Devon. Problems: none. Mostly cross country A and B roads. No breaks. Friday, 198 miles in 5hrs 50, South Devon to South Wales. Problems: none. Half on normal A roads, h…

Apparently, cruiser-wise there is nothing better than Honda VT Shadow 125 or Yamaha Dragstar XVS 125. The question is – which one to go for? They are so similar that me, with now experience whatsoever, cannot decide just on the basis of respective reviews. I am going to use it for commute (40 miles daily) on A-roads with occasional trips and round-town errands. I will probably end up getting raisers for steering bar as I am 6’5” (but light). I sat on a Dragstar just yesterday and it wasn't as bad as I expected although my hands were quite lower than shoulders, hence the thought of risers. Also, moving pegs forward would probably be another good idea, if this is doab…

I've got about 5,000 miles on my 1300, and once the engine gets nice and hot, I hear what to me seems like excessive lifter noise. I just had oil changed, with Amsoil synthetic, 10/40, and noise remains. Does this seem to be typical with this bike's engine? Is anyone else having this issue?

Was going to add risers on my 1300,untill i stripped it down. Because of the speedo mount it aint going to happen. 1. I can add aftermarket risers, but what to do with speedo? 2.Maybe a aftermarket speedo that mounts to the bars, but havent seen that 3.I can add different bars, but have to replace alot of cables!(maybe) Any thought or ideas would be nice, at least a good topic for conversation. I am 6ft 1" and still reach for the bars a little. and yes i have rolled them back until they start rolling down. it would be nice to pull them back so i can sit straight. To me this is not a small stature persons bike(notice the politically correct description) I really dont…

Just bought a used 07 VStar with 5k miles. After about 100 miles the speedometer stopped working. The rest of the gauges/odometer/lights all work. The manual says when you turn the key to "On" the bike does an electric check and the speedometer fans from 0 to the far right and then returns to 0. Mine no longer does this. I have checked the fuses and they all appear fine. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?

If I crank it over and hit the kill swith and then restart it goes right away. Any suggestions or recomendations would be greatly appreciated. Stumped in Kelowna .

Greetings, I have an issue with cylinders one and four not firing on my 1886 FZX700 Fazer w/ Brand new NGK DP8EA-9 plugs. I suspected the Left Coil was bad since it is responsible for both one and four. In order to eliminate the left as a variable I swapped the Left Coil w/ the Right Coil (at the same time pulled all the plug wire caps) and connected them to their respective original sequence. (Left Bank Outside to #4 - Inside to #1) (Right Bank Inside to #3Outside to #2) The results were cylinders one and four still not firing. So I have eliminated the coil as the culprit. I am going to go change everything back to its respective place but thought I would see if anyon…
