I've had enough carrying a backpack just to carry my waterproofs and disc lock, can anyone recommend a smallish tail bag I can leave permanently on the bike?

  2. Anyone used www.motorbikesandparts.co.uk? If so, what did you think? Thanks

Hey guys, Just trying to get some views before deciding to go for either cheaper option of tomtom app on my iphone or shell out for a tomtom rider.. (I know 3rd option is mounting a stanard satnav to bike, but london is always pissing down with rain and dont like the idea of ziplock bag either). Has anyone here actually used the app on their iphone? Whats the sigal like normally? (any worse then stanard satnav) Also whats the battery life like?

  7. Hi I'm new to this forum, so firstly hello! Does anyone work for Yamaha or know one who can run a VIN check for me? I need to obtain a file/PDF or something with details of the bike (VIN/engine number) from a reputable source. Yahama UK are so slow and hardly respond to my emails and my local dealer is a grumpy bugger!. It's a racebike (R6) and it was never registered. Beer tokens can be provided. Thanks Rich

(6 year history) Had a GSXR 600 K1, good fun but it felt like ever other bike on the road was a GSXR 600, no originality at all! Then got a Daytona (T595), again great fun but unreliable and a heavy old lump! Then had a rush of blood to the head and bought a XR400R (first ever off roader) complete insane bike but not for me. I've just bought an immaculate, completely original 2002 R6 with only 3k on the clock and am just getting used to it, it seems a great bike, a bit twitchy and high revs but what do you expect! Any tips, advice (polite comments only guys) I need to know for riding or maintaining it? Barry

I'm looking to put some apes on my bike, always liked the look. Now I'm thinking 16" not sure if I'll need risers to clear the tank ? My question is can you simply buy all the longer cables needed ? Or do I have to get them made up for me?

Hi all, i am thinking about getting the new Haga rep as i think its an awesome colour scheme and as i do a lot of mile on the bike i want to know my head is as well protected as i can get and even though £500 is a steep price to pay safety is my main concern. Just wanted to know if anyone has got an Arai Corsair and their thoughts on it or words of advices regarding Arai's in general. Are they noisey?? My KBC Vr2 legend is quite noisey and it bugs me a bit! And if anybody has got any other helmets they strongly recommend please say! Cherers.

  11. For the second marathon stage of the 2015 Dakar, the remaining competitors had to make another high-altitude crossing of the Andes before tackling a 371 kilometre special. The route was mostly over hard-packed ground and directly followed by 135 kilometres of liaison to take them to their bivouac. Olivier Pain finished today’s special 15’37 behind the leader, with Frans Verhoeven not far behind in 19th (at 17’10). Olivier preserves his 10th place overall, while fellow Yamaha mounted Frenchman Xavier de Soultrait finished 22nd and holds on to his 13th place overall. Spanish Yamaha rider Juan Pedrero’s run of bad luck continued. The latest news is that he had a stand stil…

I had to share this with everyone - i managed to get out on my bike for the first time this year for a proper blhaat! At last, the weather is looking better and summer is creeping in slowly, but surely! Did any one else manage to make the most of the sun today? I nearly sold my bike two weeks ago cos i was soooo fed up with the snow and winter chill - so today has been a God send...and my bike is off teh market! yippee! Happy riding all!

This test is based on how cool you were at school and what crowd you ran with, etc., but it's still pretty accurate by today's standards. You may want to send it to your friends to see if they've changed. LET'S SEE, ARE YOU STILL A COOL PERSON? following on from a few topics on here, and on a couple of other forums i am on, i am going to start a ''ARE YOU WILLING TO HELP'' thread. i have read a few topics about people needing things done to their vehicle but due to the owners lack of ability or knowledge or confidence then they have either put the work off and made it worse or sent it to a garage to get the work done. for example one of the guys on a off roading forum i am on wanted to fit a lift kit to his car, springs, spacers, new shocks. i have done it and he is only a few miles away, he was quoted just shy of £400 to get it fitted. after some discussion i said i was happy to help him fit it if he came…
