Well i have brought an old Mk3 Golf 16v, cant believe how slow it is compared to my old Mk2. But anyway was cheap and needed a car, now its been pi$$ing it down everyother day. To get to the point for the insurance to be valid for theft, i need to provide a VSIB certificate to prove i have an alarm fitted. The car has a clifford concept 300, but i dont have the certificate and do not know who fitted it. I spoke to my local clifford dealer and they tell me they cant issue me a new installation certificate because the no longer make that alarm. But the insurance company say it doesnt matter i just need to provide proof i have one. And they will only take a VS…

I want to repaint the 2 sidepanels on my 1981 XT250 but am struggling to get a code, prefer a RAL so I can get an aerosol made up. Have tried Ford Diamond white but is a mile away from the tank white. I presume the white on the tank has faded after 32 yrs so it may be prudent taking it to my local paint place and doing a physical match against the tank. Any other ideas folks? Also, a picture I've got shows YAMAHA decals to both sidepanels but cos its a b&w pic can't tell colour etc. Are these still available? All suggestions most welcomed.

well my looms finally arrived (iv got 2 just incase got them cheap so had to be done) basically I cant work this loom out and its driving me nuts, I'm not the most patient person and I'm literally 10mins away from dropping a match into the tank, can anyone come help me install this loom? I don't care about lights or clocks or any of that, itll probably just get daytime mot'd anyway, so all I really need is the bike starting. as iv said iv got two looms so one can be stripped down to just what I need for it to start and I can keep the other for if I ever have lights etc put on it. I really am lost, I thought it would be straight forward but obviously not... any…

HI y'all, I have enjoyed 500 miles on my xj600 this year but decided that I want to make a few mods, so it is time to pull her apart and make some changes over winter.... I have looked on xjrider.com and a lot of the diversion owners are swapping for fzr front ends and swing arms, so I am looking to do the same to the earlier model... was wondering whether anyone with a 3HE would mind taking a few measurements and letting me know. Prior to having an ebay buying session, I would like to get an idea of what I am likely to have to chop and change..... I really only wanted distance between centres of the forks at the top, overall open length of forks, distance between fork…

Hi, I was wondering if anyone on this forum owns, runs or works in a Yamaha Dealership, or motorcycle garage in the North East. I live in Durham, have a 1998 Yamaha XJ 600 N. Being an old bike, its always got bits and pieces wrong with it, and I want to learn more about how to fix them myself. I'm a postgraduate student at Durham University, Booo! I know, but you can't call me a tax dodger, coz we get no loans, and I get fully taxed on any job i get to pay for the course! Anyway, I'm looking for somewhere were I can go along on a weekend, or the odd day to watch/learn whatever I can. I know its an inconvenience for whoever I'm watching, I'm definately NOT lookin…

Has anyone tried Philips X-treme Vision bulbs? They're supposed to be 130% brighter than standard H4 bulbs, and a lot easier than trying to do an LED conversion. I've just ordered a set from https://www.powerbulbs.com/au/product/philips-racingvision-h4-twin and got 20% off with NEWBIES coupon. Interested in how they are going to perform if anyone's tried them, before going down another route. Alex
