Well, what a cracking weekend that was. Seeing and listening to all the stuff going on behind the scenes was something else, professionalism taken to a new (maybe too much at times) level. Thursday night started by walking around the paddock with a cold beer and then into pitlane to see the MotoGP bikes started and ran through the gears Friday work started at Pit Lane exit for Free Practice Saturday more of the same and then qualifying (did you know that during MotoGP quali and races you cannot walk across pitlane anywhere without a helmet on ?) Sunday pit lane exit for warmups followed by grid boards (I was on Row 2) and yellow flags for the start of the rac…

Hello, I recently acquired a partially disassembled 1965 YM1. I'm working through what i'll need to get it up and running and my current hurdle is the petcock. Mine is missing the internal filter screen and the two copper pipes with their filter screen with the pipes being broken off at the base. So far I've found 1 replacement on ebay listed at $250 which seems to much to be paying. Are there any cheaper alternatives or kits to rebuild my part?

Just got myself a shiny new diversion 600F. Very pleased with it. I have always had a Haynes style manual for all of my bikes, but can't find similar one, assume that is because it is too new. Anyone know of a similar one.

Hurrah that we don't have another sporting white elephant to pay for. We can't even win a Fifa Bribing competition.

what's the worst injury you've ever had? never really had a biggie(touch wood). getting staples all across the bottom of my chin was pretty sore, that happened whilst riding my bmx at 15 with a bottle of cider in me the blood stain could still be seen on the pavement months later. getting my nose broke was pretty sore  never broke legs or arms though. broke a few bones in my hand mountainbiking. oh yeah and chipped a bit of bone off me thumb with a hammer when building a fence last year  what about you lot? anything serious or just the normal stuff?

Is the new CBR250R worthy of the R title as it appears more of a tourer than race rep , not as racey as the YZF-R125 for sure. http://world.honda.com/CBR250R/video/index.html

Last year in TWO magazine we ran a feature called 'Turf Wars'. The aim was to find which group of 1000cc sportsbike riders was the best. After a couple of prelim rounds at Boxhill, the final was held at Bruntingthorpe where all the riders got to go nuts for a day (longest wheelie, top speed, drag racing, etc). It was a load of fun and we are planning this years round. We're hoping to do something similar but with 600cc riders this time. If you have an R6 (any model) and are interested, could you get in contact please? (We're also after ZX6Rs, GSXR600s and CBR600 if you know anyone with one who might be interested). If your up for a laugh and fancy getting …

Chaps, As a fairly free thinking group, I'd like your opinion on this. Recently there was a report on the BBC news about a bike thief who died while riding, and crashing a stolen bike without a helmet on. On another forum I posted the link and made a comment that I had no sympathy for him, and also, in my opinion the police should persure these people with extreme prejudice. Now these comments caused one or two responses, mostly in agreement, along the lines of 'what goes around comes around', and 'thieving scum deserve all they get' However, one or two people found this post, and the comments 'obscene' I have tried to understand thier opinion, but so far …

Hello there, Totally new to the biking world, though I have gotten my feet a bit wet. First of all, I go by the name Vitai Slade, so hello to all of you. Second, I currently own a 2001 Yamaha R6 and love it. It is my first bike and already I've had tons of fun. Now I firmly believe that there are two kinds of riders. Those that have dropped their bike, and those that WILL drop their bike. I am of the former group. Thankfully, I have learned my lesson on this used bike. No, no, I wasn't cruising at 90mph down the highway. In fact, I was sitting in a parking spot. YES, a PARKING SPOT. Though embarrassing as it might be, I tell you that I had just performed the dumbest …
