Well i must be the only person in the UK who is not out on their bike! Unfortunatly for me my bike has no front wheel on at the moment, and no front disks either. And not being able to wheelie that well dont think its a good idea to try riding with just the back wheel, mind you have seen it done. A nice warm dry day for a change and im stuck indoors

I am looking to buy my first sport bike, and I have noticed that all the 600 series bikes from Honda, Suzuki, and such are around $13,000 CAN. But the Yamaha 600 series bikes are more around $9,000 CAN, and the 1000 series Yamaha bikes are around the same price as a 600 series Honda, or Suzuki. Why is this? Also, what should I be looking for in a bike? Should the low prices of Yamaha bikes worry me? Thanks in advance for any responses.

My dad was a despatch rider during the 2nd World War. I have a couple of photos of him with his bike (I'd like to identify the bike one day and maybe get one (probably can't afford it)). So I heard a few of his war stories centered around his riding. Which always stayed with me... Then, years later, I came across the Yamaha TY80 https://www.classicsuperbikes.co.uk/catalogue/Bikes-for-sale/Yamaha-TY80.html This is the first bike I ever rode, back in... Errr... Let's say late 70s... Possibly early 80s... Probably... My little cousin had it, being slightly older, I was allowed to take him down to the beach with it and a spare can of p…

Sometime ago when I was introducing myself to the forums, I made a comment that if the government gave out motorbike licenses instead of prozac, the country would be a far better place. Now I'm not mocking anyone who suffers from this medical condition, far from it, you have my every sympathy but I was mearly trying to explain what bikes and riding meant to me. I've done the pack thing, hated it. I've done the touring pack thing, tolerated it (too many hero muppets at the front). I've done the riding in threes, bearable. Twosies? Not bad at all, quite relaxing as long as your mate isn't a hero muppet (see touring pack thing) No, what my bikes have always me…

I was just wonder, why do some people insist on modding there bikes (especially sports bikes)? It's not that they're not fast enough already! A stock 600 sports bike will do 0-60 in 3.5 sec! Isn't that good enough perfomance already? :?

Help, just joined forum, just bought TRX850 to go into my collection. Been trying to find info / comments on it but the search engine here does not like TRX or 850 or TRX 850 or "TRX 850" or TRX* (get the idea). Yams are only called by 3 letters (except bandit, faser, virago..etc.). Any ideas how to search for model numbers - you need a rule to drop the spaces or allow and 3 letters that are nomenclature. Ideas?

Dear Abbey, I've never written to you before but I hope you can help me with a really crucial decision ! I have suspected for some time now that my wife has been cheating on me. The usual signs are there, the phone rings but if I answer the caller hangs up etc. My wife has also been going out with the girls a lot more recently although when I ask their names, she just says " Oh you know, just the girls from work...you dont know them " I always stay awake at night when she is out to look out for her taxi dropping her off but she always gets out at the top of the street !!! I havent approached her with these thoughts as I think that deep down I really dont want…

WHY MEN SHOULD NEVER WRITE AN ADVICE COLUMN; Dear Larry, I hope you can help me here. The other day, I set off for work leaving my husband in the house watching the TV as usual. I hadn't driven more than a mile down the road when the engine conked out and the car shuddered to a halt. I walked back home to get my husband's help. When I got home I couldn't believe my eyes. He was in our bedroom with the neighbor's daughter. I am 32, my husband is 34, and the neighbor's daughter is 19. We have been married for ten years! When I confronted him, he broke down and admitted that they had been having an affair for the past six months. I told him to stop or I would leave him. …

Hi guys, Was talking to my colleague at work who's interested in doing his CBT and I said that we can attend the same training school some time next month when I go for my DAS. As we were quietly chatting away, a few of my other colleagues rudely butted in and started to put us totally off bikes and lecturing us like we were stupid kids! They were saying that bikes are dangerous as cars can easily knock bikers over (This is true, but can't put us off bikes because there's W&NKER drivers around) and they said they can't see us riding a bike for more than 3 weeks!! (How insulting!!! ) What the hell wrong with them! They kept putting doubts in our heads sa…

Hi guys, I read this on the R6 forum and thought I should share it here. "Riding without boots and crashing might cost you some road rash or foot mash or even in an extreme case might lead to amputation. You might never walk without a limp. You might battle a weight and fitness problem for the rest of your life. You might never walk with pain. But it probably wouldn't kill you. Riding without gloves and crashing might cost you some road rash or a Munched hand or the severe, excrutiating pain of mangling a body part rich with nerve endings. Or you could lose a finger or two. It could cost you the ability to play ball with your son, to pr…
