Hiya peeps. Starting to get a few bits on the cafe racer project (was an XZ550), but have taken the top yoke off as it was fuck ugly and wouldnt let me use ace bars, i was told by the pervious owner that XJ550 top yokes will fit straight on but as it turns out the only breaker i could find had sold his on already. Im thinking maybe XJ600 (pre-div?) or something similar, but not is kind of thing?sure where to start, does anyone have any experiance in thing?

Folks I have a 1996 Yamaha DT125-R (2 stroke) which I am planning to sell and I was hoping someone could give me an idea of what to ask for it. I don't want to rob anyone and I don't want to give it away at a silly price either, I just want to be fair. So here's the info....... January 1996 10700 miles 2 KEYS In excellent condition, no damage anywhere. Never dropped or taken off road Has a power pipe fitted and will do 70mph (sounds strange....but it's true!) Purple and White Has been debadged of all graphics 2 new tyres just 200 miles ago Wheels in excellent condition All plastics in unbroken condition Has only been used in good weather Will be sold wi…

I'm a bit frustrated. Even after reading many of the infomative documents on this site... http://www.ntsb.gov/Events/symp_motorcycle_safety/agenda.htm ...I feel I know more about the dangers of the highway, but not how that compares to city street riding. So what's the deal, where I live I can choose either the highway 4 lanes with a fair amout of 18 wheelers or I can go city streets. I opt for the city streets but know that intersections can be dangerous places. Also, with city street driving you have cars that can pull out right in front of you turning right OR left. So I ask myself, which is really more dangerous???? I can understand that an acci…

Just trying to figure out how long those beasts could live. Bought my 1980 DT175MX at 39,000 kilometers (24,000 miles). Seems a lot compared to similar people on the forum with the same bike. I spent some cash on it and now it's like a queen. So how many miles has your DT done? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm off on a bit of a rant here so bear with me Whilst I know many people have experience on their bikes and can work on them I find it amazing when people seem to just sit there and just say "it won't go" and alot of my friends who have problems who have no experience are totally reluctant to go and get their bikes fixed and I can accept were 16 and have little money but still is it not true that we can't afford to cut corners and bodge everything so that our bikes are being held together by duct tape (which one of my friends bikes is) this issue just seems to keep coming to light and I would like to know why so many people are just so reluctant to ask for help? Is…

If I could have any bike at this moment in time I would have a Ducati Desmosedici to satisfy my need for speed, and a BMW F 650 GS for the trailbiker in me. What is seen as the Roll's Royce of motorbikes, and the Ferrari of motorcycles?

I don't usually get the opportunity to filter this way but when I did, it pissed off some woman which caused her to carry out a punishment undertake on to a bus lane in operation. I left a big enough gap between me and her so I'm not really sure what the issue was. Maybe she just disliked the fact that I came in from the opposite lane - which I could tell by her hand actions seen on my mirror. I know the risks involved so I should be moving slower to react. Also looking out for junctions on either side of the road and moving back in time before you get to them. Keeping an eye out for drivers thinking of doing an impatient U-turn, pedestrians crossing the road between …

Hi guys, my wife and I are both 5’9” tall in our 50s and fed up with only being able to ride for about 1 1/2 hours before being in discomfort. Wanting a tourer (just back into bikes after 30 years) rather than use my Thunderace I bought the beemer for 2 up riding. It’s ok for short trips up to an hour and a half but a 2 hour trip at the weekend was no fun..... and it was a nice sunny day! With a budget of around £5,000 any ideas? I’ve no objection to any make or age - we just want to lose the discomfort. I’d thought of a Goldwing / F6C but don’t want to lose the essence of using the bike and getting wedged in traffic. Thanks in advance, Malcolm
