With quite a number of us keeping 'older bikes' on the road, I was just wondering what does everyone keep in stock in their shed/workshop/under the bed! I've got a lot of bulbs and a spare clutch cable, a spare set of indicator lenses for my DT and I keep a number of oil filters for my 400/4 with a spare throttle cable but thats about it. I know that there are many spares available on ebay and the like, but in a few years time it might not be the same. If i keep my MX for another 8 years it will be 40 yrs old. Buying and keeping a spare set of seals might not be such a good idea as over time the rubber will harden and perhaps start to perish and all the time th…

I just purchased a 2007 V Star 1100 Custom Midnight, my first bike without tach. Can anyone tell me approx how fast can go in each gear, trying to do it by ear but wondering if i am revving too little or too much. May get a tach eventually. Thanks for any help. Also, i read a lot about jet kits and hyperchargers .. why would/should i get either of these?

30 yrs off road experience, 3 yrs on a FZ6 and now looking for something for longer trips and considering the FJR and Pan. I have £8k to spend and would welcome any comments or suggestions and what to look out for on a 2nd hand FJR. What could I expect for my money? Thanks

I need a long distance runner in the collection as I don`t think the RD350 is right for that job. I prefer all my bikes having kickstarts as they stand quite a bit (try ride different one every day). Prefer to go for a Honda like CB550 or 750 four. Any suggestions what could make a comfortable and reliable long distance four stroke classic cruiser?

Im more than likely after an R6,probably a 2004-2006 model. Im hoping some of you guys could answer some questions please: 1) What is the bike test like, is it difficult etc? 2) The R6, as a first bike good idea or not? Good bike in general? 3)how much should i look to pay for the direct access? Any other advice would be more than welcome with regards to the direct access, the bike and what to look out for etc when buying. Really appreciate any reply's in advance. Hello to …

  11. Hi Noob here with a question. My previous ride got stolen and I am considering buying a very nice '04 XVS 650 Classic. It has only 40,000 km (~25,000 miles) on the clock, has a full service history and looks very well maintained. What should I look for before closing the deal?

Man,' Here you go then give me a sentance that will make me really happy and really unhappy all at once, see if all that wordplay is doing any good' She looks up calm as you like, looks him straight in the eye and says 'You can screw far longer than your brothers'
