Well here's a question to put on the table for you lovers to sort me out. In January im starting my new weekend job as a CBT instructor but sadly i cant (and won't) be using Betty as my instructor bike, so what bike would you folks recommend? Its gotta be less than £1000 and be really good at low speed but also look professional. Im just stumped

Hey guys - check out my intro in the intros section. Picking up my new bike, an XVS 1300 Midnight Star, in a week's time. It's my first cruiser; previously I've only had standards (H100S, CX500) and sportsbikes (GPX750R and Thundercat). So my question is - how different will it be, riding a cruiser, particularly a relatively big one? Are there any hints and tips that I should know and bear in mind in order to make life easier for myself? Thanks guys!

Summer has basically about to start for me, what do you think I should start of fixing on my own in terms of looks before taking it to the shop to fix a fuel leak that I suspect is the fuel tap? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. Hi, I am thinking about buying this motorcycle I have found used for a good price. It's in good condition, very well maintained. My concern is the cruising speed. I intend to use it for longish trips. I need something that I can cruise at 90kph (55mph) for several hours without issue. Someone told me that at these speeds with this bike I would need to stop every hour or so and let the engine cool. (I do live in a warm weather zone) So I guess it's two questions really, firstly what is the top speed can you comfortably cruise for longer distances on one of these bikes, and how big of an issue is overheating? PS: I suppose I could also gear up and put in a smaller…

Hello again you lot! I've not been on here for a long time as I joined up with the MTOC havin' an MT01 & an MT03. But I didn't forget you. I need/would like your advice. I'm looking to get another commute scoot as the 03 can get a bit tiresome on my daily 80 mile return trip to London. I have been offered a reasonable deal on a 2007 TDM 900. I see a lot of 'em so they can't be too bad, can they?. Do they stand up well to the daily wear and tear. I'd like to understand there strengths and weaknesses. Anyone

I know in a previous post (to anybody that may have seen it) I mentioned I had an XJ600, but the truth is: I hadn't bought it yet, somebody was just waiting for me to buy it off them. HOWEVER, I now have it and it's all legally mine and shizz. I'd like to know what you all think of it. I paid £400 for it. It's on a 2000 plate (X Reg). It has Black touring fairing (as seen in the pictures). It has a Nexus exhaust and it also has heated grips. So, opinions?

Hello everybody! I have recently passed my test, got myself a brand new XJ-600 Diversion S (Half faired) and I admire the bike so much…. But the thing is i'm not happy with the appearance completely. I want to do some changes to the bike, wether its subtle or not I cannot decide! So far I have put white reflective tape around the tire rim and considering tail tidy, getting a new exhaust & decals. Not sure what I want if i'm totally honest but I thought i'd bring it to the forum and see if there are any ideas that you guys have tried & have come out looking great! Any ideas please post back! 11. Just sitting there waiting for lights to change, feels slightly awkward at times lol. I don't usually go down to neutral so my left hand is always holding the clutch in. My right hand is also usually on the handle bar but it's free to move around and sometimes I pretend to check my pockets - even though I know they are closed . Maybe test my glove fitting and majority of the time I'd be looking around, having a sneaky peak into the vehicle(s) next to me. What do you riders do ?

Hello everyone, now, about 6 months ago I bought my wr125x brand new from Yamaha, since then I've done 1000mls, as I walked past my bike today at work I realised my coolant level was way below minimum. Now for a 65 plate bike with 1k on this doesn't seem right? It's not leaking, but it does smoke on start up when cold? Faulty headgasket? What do you guys make of this?? Cheers!!

Good, bad, indifferent? Most of them are perceived as being fascist bully boys with a humour bypass and strange moustaches. Just wondered if this is a generalisation or if those who slate them have been aggrieved in some way by them? This could be contentious and please remember this is a family show. Over to you....

  18. Hi, New to the forum here. I just bought a 2001 Yamaha YZF 600R. I noticed when I am on the freeway or hitting about 50-60, the temp stays cool below 70. (I would assume this is because the high speeds cool the engine additionally.) However after running it for a bit, if I am cruising through city traffic, the temp gauge hits 100. There is an extra space between that and the red-line - but how hot is hot? Is this normal? My last bike didn't have the same temp gauge - it was a Honda. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks, Adam

Pretty much what the title says. My chassis and engine number start with 2K4 and on the info plate next to the chassis number I have "Model DT175 Type 2K4" with a bit of German as well. I know the bike is an import from details on the V5 but does the 2K4 give any more info.

Alex - cute and tall but a liar and a cheat. Alistair - likes being tied up, and really enjoys playing with train sets Amir - dirty, smelly, pecker is minuscule. Bad diet. Andrew - Highly intelligent and wears a kilt. Poor standards of hygiene. Homicidal tendencies. Antonio - has a great body…
