  1. Started by wild foamy,

Hey peeps. Picked up another addition to the fleet a couple of weeks ago, a little QT50 I found on the auto jumble at the Dorset Steam Fair, in my drunken logic I decided it needed to come home. Needed a new set of tyres and the brakes fettling (even after cleaning and roughing up the drums, the rear brake would only put out 27%, the MOT requirement was 25%), nevertheless it did eventually pass. So it now has a fresh 12 month ticket, I use it for riding around on the airbase when I'm at work, the top box is large enough for small aircraft spares or a crate of beer and it has "No Fat Chicks" written on the back in permanent marker So far nobody has …

Hi first time on thought i would say hello. Hello! Not sure where to post this one(pretty useless on forums) but i have a 94 rd330r ypvs. Nice little bike which ran spot on until it developed a fuel leak near the tap. I had it "professionally" repaired, and it leaked again. I tried a resin kit in the tank. That didnt work either. I decided to check out the professional repair (body filler on the bottom) I ground out the filler to reveal small rust holes. I tried Super Steel from halfords under advice £6. Worked perfect. It then flew through the test but now the tickover sticks at 5-6000 rpm. When cold no probs. When its warm and you first start it no probs. But after a co…

A couple was on their honeymoon, lying in bed, about ready to consummate their marriage, when the new bride says to the husband, 'I have a confession to make, I'm not a virgin.' The husband replies, 'That's no big thing in this day and age.' The wife continues, 'Yeah, I've been with one guy.' 'Oh yeah? Who was the guy?' 'Tiger Woods..' 'Tiger Woods, the golfer?' 'Yeah.' 'Well, he's rich, famous and handsome. I can see why you went to bed with him.' The husband and wife then make passionate love. When they are done, the husband gets up and walks to the telephone. 'What are you doing?' asks the wife. The husband says, 'I'm hungry, I was goin…

Just bought a 96 Varigo 535 -low miles 5M did spend a few bucks on new tires and some carb work but need some advice about the distance between the shifter and the peg,,,I can get my work book in there but if I wear my Alpinstars the boot is to large to permit a comfortable fit -would the shifter have to be extended or at a different angle-most of the assemble is welded???

Currently got the 650 Dragstar which I have enjoyed but I am now hankering back to what I would call a normal bike. The wife doesn't find the Draggy's pillion perch very comfortable over distance so her wants are better pillion seat and ideally some lockable luggage that can take two helmets and possibly our jackets. My wants on top of hers are full fairing for better weather protection and more oomph. Any one got any suggestions on what to start looking at based on experience? Doesn't have to be Yamaha as I may keep the Draggy as a summer run around.

So I'm Outta Here for a day or so. R.I.P. Shane.......I miss you Pal

I have been riding 125's now for four years now and I really need to move on, I planned on doing the test this year but got made redundant in January and it completely messed my life up financially. I am definitely ready for a bigger bike. I think I didn't do it sooner because I was scared of failing. I love my WR and will still keep it, my plan is to buy a superbike to use on a weekend and keep the WR for commuting. The fuel economy is excellent and it is comfortable to ride. I'm just in the process now of learning the theory and hazard perception and once I have passed that I will be straight in for the practical. I'm working that many hours lately that I don't get much…

Just couldn't stand it anymore....& had to get out on Sunday & enjoy this Killer weather we've been having .....especially before I started my new job today. Headed to my favorite stomping grounds....the Upper Clackamas river area. Stopped here @ the Carver Bridge boat launch.....which is a great place for swimming during the summer.... Then it was onto Springwater Rd. towards Estacada, where there's some great views of Mt.Hood... Being the time of year that it is......I had to ride around locked gates that closed off roads that are usually open later in the year..... something an XT is GREAT for ... This is a little day use area th…

Would really like a Thundercat or Ace as next bike but will see what comes my way in few months. In meantime, my biking is limited to borrowin my dad's R1100RS beemer OR this..... Great fun to ride, just dont try to get your knee down! Reckon it'd still pass Foamy.....

for the past few weeks i've been riding around on a late model honda vfr750. this one- i got shot of the klr and bought this. pretty pleased with it too. MUCH better than the zzr! handles great, stops great, loadsa torque, build quality is amazing, surprisingly good on fuel etc so i'm chuffed with it. also came with scott oiler and heated grips which is handy. the klr was causing problems(within itself!) and tbh the build quality was terrible on it, the winter was not very kind indeed. it's nice to be back on a road bike, the ds was fun and i will have another one, but for the moment, this is my bike! no doubt in a couple of months i'll get another one variety is …

Hi all, Just got me a double bubble iridium screen and wondered what the stance is with the law and the tint of the bike screen. I know the visors for helmets are not legal but what about the screens on the bike? I think they are legal since you don't see through the screen @ legal speeds
