Hi Guys Been riding a dt 125r (2006 reg) in london on a CBT for 3 months....going to take my full license (restricted for 2 years) in the next 2 weeks. I'm doing a 3 day course with Metropolis in london, 3rd day includes the test. I would like to find out if anyone has done their bike test on a dt 125? To get the license the bike must hit at least 62mph....I think mine tops out at 65mph but it does take a good push and strech to get there...Do you think I'll be ok with this? The other thing is that although i'm quite comfortable i'm still quite cautious when riding specially when doing u turns and slow riding...like to keep my foot close to the floor just i…

The Biker test.. Midnight bugs taste best. Saddlebags can never hold everything you want, but they CAN holdeverything you need. NEVER argue with a woman holding a torque wrench. Never try to race an old Geezer, he may have one more gear than you. Home is where your bike sits still long enough to leave a few drops ofoil on the ground. You'll get farther down the road if you learn to use more than twofingers on the front brake. Routine maintenance should never be neglected It takes more love to share the saddle than it does to share the bed. The only good view of a thunderstorm is in your rearview mirror. Never be afraid to slow down. Only Bikers understand why d…

Well... A while back bought a Suzuki GP100 non-runner, 6 months later... had enough of the GOD DAMN thing! still can't get the bugger going after spending over £100 on it for a good little commuter so there goes my project, and the FZR600R will soon be going my pride and joy! had lots of time and money spent on that keeping it in great condition as a dry weather bike only but hardly use the thing now... been out on it once in over 8 months... so will be looking for a new home soon! I will post some pictures up so show off my pride and joy extremely low miliage for a 1994 model! under 16k and looks the part! ... so yeah, there both going to make way for a Mini…

So my mate, being short of leg*, a custom fanatic and the knd of person who never learns by experience, has bought yet another Baby Viagra (K reg, low mileage). Being the nervous type, he is already talking about completely dismantling the thng to cure a miniscule oil weep from the clutch actuator rod. "Good grief, man!" I told him, "My TRX's chain drips more oil than that." I must admit he looked a fine sight thundering the mighty Vee-twin back from the vendor's house, wallowing majestically round curves on tyres that turned out to be inflated to a piffling 20 PSI. No sooner had he got it to his garage than he began wittering on about having to replace some of the bits …

The amount of times since getting my bike in March it has lashed it down is unbelievable. My whole street has more or less flooded now. Looks like it's going to be a while before I can go for a ride. I've ventured out in the rain before with waterproofs etc, but its not very nice and its dangerous, especially when the rain is this hard. Looks like its due to piss it down for the next week at least.

i was welding Friday morning and my new mask was too dark for me to see to start the arc properly, so like a dick i was starting my welds off with no eye protection. thought i had got away with it but 10 hours after i had finished my eyes started to hurt like mad and the whites turned red like in a warewolf film. ended up at moorfields eye hospital in london with burnt corneas, just starting to get my sight back today. just thought i would post this to give you all a laugh and perhaps stop someone else being as stupid.

Back in the days of steam locomotives, the engineer was the prince of the engine and made a princely wage; and the fireman who broke his back shovelling coal into the firebox was down at the bottom of the pecking order, and was paid as such. On one particular engine that pulled the daily local freight train, the engineer was forever bumming a chaw of chewing tobacco from the fireman. Every day, after they had cleared the yards and had a good head of steam, the fireman would lean on his shovel, mop his brow and take a wad from his pack of "Red Man", whereupon the engineer would say, "Hey, let me have a dip." The fireman conspired to put an end to this: He arranged to have …

The EU are trying to pass a few new regulations onto motorbikes this will stop 1.All modifications to complete power train, from airbox to controlling the rear tyre profile 2. Compulsory ABS 3. Automatic headlights, just to pick at our riding habbits there 4. On Board Diagnostics so that roadside checks can be made of our emissions and constant readouts of our engine's performance can be obtained, this is similar to a tachograph on HGV's which means that they will know how we ride our bikes 5. Repair and Maintenance Information stored on the ECU rarther then the little service book 6. Any race parts fitted to a street going bike illigal 7. full day-glo clothi…
