You know it, we all get them. I get insane jumpers from my mum each year - weird and bizzare colours. I wonder where she gets them from as no solvent and trading business in the world would risk producing these babies ! I reckon she must have bought clothes in the mid 70's for all the Christmas's until 2020. I daren't wear them as I'd get sectioned under the mental health act or beaten to death in the street. I'll get ties, t-shirts and socks which are very handy but as no one in my family likes bikes, let alone drives a car 'cept my mum, I won't be getting those biking luxuries  but a new tool for porting and cylinder heads is on the cards - cool.. what a…

I'm looking at purchasing a Bike on Ebay. The Bike in question has a different decal on the left fairing than the one on the right. The seller swears that the bike came like that new from the dealer. The right decal appears to be the correct one and left appears to come from the year earlier model of the bike. Is there any way that he's telling the truth and somehow this bike had mismatch decals on the fairings brand new from the dealer?

last year i had my bike insured through bennetts. when i applied for it, i opted out of automatic renewal. but 4 weeks before renewal, they wrote to me saying that they will automatically renew the policy unless i phoned them. so i phoned them not to renew. i arranged ins elsewhere ( this was end of april ). guess what? i also received a policy from bennetts and they had charged my credit card £192. i phoned them straight away and they admitted their mistake and cancelled the policy. i returned all the documents by recorded delivery. i also received confirmation letter saying that they will refund the money to my card. since then i have phoned them about 6 times on nation…

Afternoon all This may be a stupid question but I was riding to work this morning (it was about -2) and the bike cut out a couple of times, once at a roundabout and then again at the lights about 1/2 a mile later. I did the normal thing, let it run until it was warm and didn't need the choke anymore before I set off and took it easy cos it was a bit chilly and the roads are slippery. The roundabout is about 2 miles from the house so I appreciate the running temperature will still be a bit low but it's never done it before. I didn't ride it yesterday but did muc off it down on Monday when the bike had cooled down on Monday night. Is it something as simple as the…

hey, im looking for some advice as its my first post of many i hope.. im about to complete my direct access course and i like the look of the R6 very much. Is this an okay for my first bike? I've been driving cars for over 10 years now but its my first bike. I get different opinions from different people. Some people say the R6 is not very forgiving so im a bit worried now. Having said that im not stupid, and these people are probably talking about when really pushing it which I wont be doing.. Any opinions about this? Many thanks,

Hello all, Just introducing myself to you all, I'm David from Liverpool, I currently have a Blue Yamaha RXS100 (((have been on L plates for 10 Years - and 4 CBT's!!))) which was rescued from a freinds back garden 6 months ago where it had sat for 5 years out in the open as you can imagine it was in quite a state I felt sorry for it so I paid him £100 and took it home with me to work on, having spent lots of time and a small amount of £ on it it now looks really well and runs terrific, perfect for my 6 mile each way journey to work and back which I do twice a day. Insurance is only £8 a month and the bike feels like free motoring as it's that cheap to run - especiall…

Hi , Can anyone enlighten me as to the reason bikers in France tend to stick their leg out after they pass you? Is this a form of thankyou? certainly a nice jesture. A lot of the car drivers over there could do with a few manners. Do not get me wrong I am not anti French I love the place that much I live there half the year. The country is a bikers paridise especially around southwest France. Lew

Once again the age old excuse came out I got knocked off my bike last night , some p**** pulled straight across front of me without even slowing down . i'm now laid up in bed unable to walk , damaged ligaments and muscles in both legs from knee down . amazingly i've not got so much as a scratch anywhere else thanks to leathers , and my legs would have been much worse but my boots took a lot of the impact, how anyone cant see a yellow bike with headlights on when its getting dark is beyond me . anyway my fz600 is now a complete write off , only had it a week , and it looks like im gonna be laid up for weeks til i can walk right again , doc said my left leg should …
