Hi Guys Have bought a DT 125 MX, on checking numbers etc., have found it, it was originally a 175, so restored back to 175 now. It was an ex forestry commission bike so was never registered. On speaking to the DVLC they say need year confirmed of bike etc., so can register it and get a number plate, so then can get it on the road. It is a great condition bike so would be a waste to just use of road, Can anyone recommend someone who could look at the bike and confirm the year etc., So can get road biking 1 thanks andrea

This is how I made a GPS mount for my SYM Citycom. This may help others with scoots with a bag hook. I mounted half of a GPS mount to the bag hook of my scoot. these are the parts:1.) half of the GPS mount2.) two home made rubber washers for friction between the GPS mount and the U-bracket.3.) two washers to go under U-bracket4.) home made U-bracket5.) bolt to screw GPS mount to U-bracket this is how the U-bracket mount with the two washers underneath. I used the factory bolt to do it. everything mounted with the mount in the everyday ride "out of the way" position GPS mounted with a hair band (what ladies use to make a pony tail in their hair) for safety. Currently running xj6s and using Motul 5000 but not sure if the Motul 5100 would be better as only change a month ago to help with start up top end slight rattle as if no oil their so was asking which would be better or can you use some thing like magnatec which sticks to the inside of engine or so they claim.cheers. not sure what would help or have I got some thing wrong with my xj6s as its only got 8000 on the clock.cheers again.

  14. Just wanted to thank all of you that replied to my post regarding the concerns over the Yamaha YBR125 I had just bought. The low mileage on the bike seems to be genuine after researching it a bit more. I'm very happy with the bike and intend holding onto it for a while so will be about the site and no doubt will be asking more questions in the future. Hoping to post a few photos of the bike as soon as I get a chance. Cheers Tony

Doing the run home and the back wheel started feeling a bit light. Checked and low and behold a huge bloody nail in the back wheel. Not that technically proficient yet so off to an expert to get it fixed (when I get time & cash). Bloody training it again till then.....Moan over. How much do you think it would cost to get the puncture repaired? It's an XVS 125 tubed wheel.

ever since the starter clutch went on my bike ive lost power. I replaced the starter clutch and she cranked up 1st time. Idle seems ok but when i go through the gears it feels like its chugging along. when in top gear if i try to hit full throttle it starts to chug. Ive had the carbs cleaned just to be on the safe side as initially i could barely get 20 mph. now im hitting 55 mph but its still chugging. I will check the spark plugs and have ordered an engine compression test kit as well as only cheap Have also ordered a new fuel filted as i havent replaced that since ive had the bike ( 18 months ) but havent really done many miles.
