I just purchased a 2005 yamaha with the title titling the bike as an r7.I did some research and found that it came from Greece.It has 51 kilometers on it.The vin# reads rn121-018063.The engine #n509e 021915.Is this a true european r7 or just a european r1?The bike was seized by u.s. customs and sat for 6 years.

JUST BOUGHT A GENESIS AS A NON STARTER SORTED THAT IT WAS STARTER SOLENOID NOW WHEN YOU PUT BIKE IN GEAR IT STALLS CHANGED SIDE STAND SWITCH BUT NO DIFFERENT ANY HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED

Hows everyone i havint bin on here in a wile due to a new baby and enjoying every minuite of it . Anyways i got a half hour tou self today and went on a spin . Battery was dead in tje fazer dismorning so charged ot up for a wile then off i went met up wit my mate on his slow as ybr125 but how in ever he only starting so i stuck wit him . Diseve on the way home the light went off on half my gauges eg fuel gauge and half the gauge next to it . I was just wondering is it an easy fix . Do i just replace bulbs etc any help would b great .. thanks and happy christmas everyone !

hi all ,have any of you changed the stock mikunibds26 on the xv125 engine? is there an alternative carb that can be used? does anyone have a mikuni bds26 for sale? mine has died any help would be great. the bike is a sachs roadster but uses xv125 engine. thanks craig

hi guys im considering using synthetic oil in my fz , its done 10,000 miles and ive been told it would be a good move ! is it a good move ? and which oil would be best . any help most appreciated

Can anyone help please as my fzr 600 wont start thinking it could be starter solenoid as when i short solenoid out it starts any help much appreciated

When drivin my fazer i have a problem . When i select a higher gear the gear leaver goes up but doesnt go into gear . Only happens the od time and only when goin up the gears . Any ideas what the problem is .. thanks

I was riding my yamaha rxs100 it started up first time I rode about 100 yards and it started to misfire it cut out and has not started since I took the carb off and cleaned it took out the spark plug and see there was no spark coming from the ht lead help me !!!!

Braked too hard and the wheel locked and went form underneath me, luckily im fine and the bike cosmetically is pretty good, however.. when i start it up it goes straight to about 2 and a half thousand revs just standing still.. which is slightly worrying, im clueless about bikes so be easy on me lol. i just wanted to know what you guys think the problem is.. Also theres a tiny hole just below my foot peg on my exhaust, am i right in thinking thats a drain hole? Thanks.

I just picked up a 1981 DT 175. I haven't got it running yet. Cleaned out the old gas and freed up the slide in the carb. The carb looked pretty clean. Compression was 120. The petcock was pretty cruddy. I ordered a new one. I assume this is gravity fed on this bike. thenks steve k

I start with a copy of my last post from the 'newbie' forum. This relates to the theft of a YZ80 and YZ125, form their garage a couple weeks ago. I've had a look round some web sites, spoken to a few mates. Like kenDAWG says, there are lots of stories out there like this one. Not just in this country, but all over the world. slid on some ice today and came off my yamaha ybr custom 12 model, scratched the chrome cap on the end of the handle bar on the right and ripped the rubber off the right foot peg, can anyone please tell me where i can buy these parts from please??

Hi Every One, I have to give a quick mention to Motad. They seem to be selling off a lot of their old new stock on ebay at the moment. Some of it appears to be really cheap. They had an 4-1 system for an XJ550 for £99 buy it now. I just got a 4-1 for my XJ750 for £129 delivered. I'm not trying to advertise for them but these are selling for less than second hand ones should anyone wish to take advantage.

I bought a set of new clutch plates for my DT 80, and I tried to do the change yesterday. But when I remove the old clutch plates, in the basket there was 5 clutch plates and 3 washer plates (between two clutch plates one washer plate is missing) . So I was wondering is it ok to leave it like that, or should I look for washer plate? Worth to be mentioned: one of the old plate (where waser plate was missing), was broken. I`ll put an image when I go home.
