Milady Doom is having difficulty coming to terms with the rear seating position of the XJR. It seems the footrests are higher than the Divvy 900 we owned previously and this is causing her considerable discomfort in the knees. This is a cause of distress to both of us. I wonder if there exists an extender for the footrests to lower them and set them further forward. Or a replacement footrest hanger. Or anybody out there who would feel confident to fabricate such an item or knows somebody who would. Any suggestions eagerly received otherwise the whole new bike exercise has been a rather expensive waste of time. By the way, this was mine:- http://www.dkmotorc…

Just done another stint in the Alps. I opted this year to do a little more exporation of the Western Alps, as well as riding over the Jura Mountains, something i'd not done before. All told just over 3700 miles. Itinerary: Day 1: Bristol to Freiburg. Day 2: Ride along the Vosges, Route de ballon from Mulhouse to Selestat. Day 3: Transit to Lausanne, via the high Jura, over the Col du Chatteral (nice route). Day 4: Chill out in Lausanne, swim in Lac Leman. Day 5: Ride from Lausanne to Brig. Taking in JaunPass, Interlaken. Afternoon riding Grimsel, Furka, Oberalp and Susten [doubling back around for the hell of it]. Day 6: Brig to Albertville, via the slow road…

my pinlock visor was due a maintenance (fogging around the edges of the insert on the main visor). i have a Nolan N85 that came ready-fitted with the pinlock, and i haven't fiddled with it since i bought it (ive removed the whole visor to clean it, but thats all my attempt at cleaning and refitting the insert will get its test tomorrow, but ive also noticed that the insert is touching the main visor (not the silicon edging), which would cause the temperature difference, aiding anti fogging, to be reduced, as the cold from the outside can come straight across, without having to move across the air gap as well. i guess that this isnt normal, but is it something to worry …

Just got me one. Well, its on order, and will be fitted tomorrow. I have been running Diablos, but decided to go for a Rosso tire to try and get a bit longer life out of it. Current Diablo has lasted almost 10 months. Does anyone here use them? Any experience of them would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi - i'm after replacement front tyre on TDM850 labelled Pirelli Strada 110/80 ZRM18 (58w). I found similar on Oponeo.co.uk for £69 which seems pretty good. Only thing they quote R18 instead of ZRM18. According to thier site its a 'w' rated tyre which is good for 168mph so no worries there! Anyone know what the difference might be?? cheers!

I'm waiting for a shed to be delivered so that my pride and joy has somewhere dry to live. At 5am today I was woken up by a noise outside. My beloved Exup was lying on its side on the lawn - a victim of these 80mph winds! The wind had got under the cover and caused the bike to fall to the right. I can't see any damage but shall have a look when it gets light

Well on top of all this covid bullshit were having to deal with someone has finally finished of what little faith i had in human nature today. Found someone who would fix the drive hub on my vmax. Sent it off end of Jan with the sounds of " couple of weeks, end of Feb maybe? with covid its quiet". Sounding in my ears. When i called yesterday apparently its "gone crazy", so ok, i then asked for a ball park, end of the month maybe? (that's another 4 weeks he's had it 6 ). The response of "not sure will have to see how it goes", any parent knows that's a fancy 'NO'. So at the earliest that means getting it back, May/ April. Once i get it back its not just a ca…
