I have a random problem as the title suggests. I bought a sr125 recently and knew it had an issue with the speedo not working.. but the bike ran great so was happy. I've realised since riding around the block to figure out whats going on that the odometer is actually going backwards?? How is this possible? The speedo cable is fine if i turn the cable then the speedo works and turn it for long enough the odometer goes up correctly but for some reason my speedo drive is running backwards? Has something been set up incorrectly on the front end? It's a 94 model with disc brake at the front only. Any input would be greatly received.. Tia

Started of ok, plan was to buid a summer house down the bottom of the garden. That was kicked into touch as my youngest (33) got thrown from one of her horses and broke a leg. The old man had to step up and spent the spring/summer looking after 4 horses and the dog. Thankfully, shes now almost fully recovered. The accident meant that my plans for half a dozen trackdays had to be abandoned, so the recently fitted full fairing and power commander never saw track action. However, I did manage to get 2 days at Donny Park, one in sept and one in oct. I was dead lucky again with the weather on both, and had 2 smashing days out. The second was Leon Haslam trackday, and I went to…

Hi guys, im sorry if this post isn't supposed to be here, but right now I just sat down with a beer trying to figure what the hell is going on with my yamaha. Ive had issues from day focking 1 with this bike and today the damn bike broke down on me after sitting in the sun for a few hours (it was quite hot). I rode it to work this morning, no problems, rode home, no problems. Since the weather were good I left it outside while eating dinner, but when I was ready to set off, it fired up like normal, but died pretty quick. Id say it ran for about 5 sec and then died. She did NOT want to start after that, and it didn't prime the fuel pump when I turned on the ignition …

Hi there! You folk haven't heard the best yet, as far as YBR box & clutch related issues go... ready.? Sitting comfortably..? Once upon a time, very recently in fact... Still ongoing tbh..! I decided to try and sort out my 'disappearing neutral' as it was more annoying than anything else... Yammy YBR's are lovely, lightweight, easy going commuters.. Anyhoo.. it took an oil change and chain slack adjustment to fix that, fair enough you think, Oooh no, yammy had other plans.. And before anyone harps on about newbies not knowing their arse from their elbow, I've been really gentle on the gear peg, as I got it bent and was told neutral 'was there somewhere'…

Has anyone ever bought a new Yamaha and it arrived with lots of blobs of bright green paint on it? My son had his new MT125 delivered yesterday and there were spots of green paint all over it. The dealer said that they came from Yamaha like that and showed that the nuts had been tightened properly. However the paint was not just on nuts. It was on wiring, handlebars and tyres. It was a bit messy. My big question was why weren't these removed in pre delivery valet. No satisfactory answer. It was someone else's fault.

The thread on my front calliper in which the bleed nipple sits has gone gone; and I was just wondering if anyone could suggest an alternative front calliper because trying to source an original has proven to be difficult. any advice would be appreciated, Jess

hi guys, thought I'd just share this with you, it made me chuckle initially! Over a year ago I declared SORN on my DT as I hadn't used it for a while , the tax was due and I was having a bit of trouble getting it MOT'd as the guys were claiming they wouldn't MOT it on the rear tyre as it had "IN USA & CANADA- NOT FOR ROAD USE". stamped on it. Even though they had been successfuly passing it with the same rear tyre for the past several years! I tried to fight my corner saying we're not in the USA where the statement applies! this is the UK but he said he wouldn't pass it if I was to put it in for an MOT. He said he was trying to save me the fail and all i had t…

Hello 👋 I've just got myself a Yamaha XT 125 R (2007) but unfortunately I didn't get an owners manual for it. I would love to own one if anyone had a spare I could buy but what I wanted to know right know is exactly how the speedometer / clocks operate. If anyone has one and could photo a few pages and send them to me that would be a huge help. Thanks guys

Out on the bike yesterday with some mates. Pushing quite hard in a few spots when the handling really started to go to shit. Barely got home. Front wheel bearing had shit it's self. Thank f it didn't happen in Derby although I think it was affecting the bike looking back and I just thought it was shitty vmax manners.

Apologies in advance if this subject has been covered before/recently but i missed it. This summer I will be building up 2 bikes with frames that came from outside the country, 1 is an XVS125 Dragstar (frame came from northern Ireland with no V5 & plate) the other is an XVS400 Dragstar (frame from Europe on NOVA) What I require is any links/guidance in doing the registration process. Thank you kindly Richard

I see the graphics on this latest game are approaching being rather realistic!! The give away being no spray from the tyres and nobody can ride that fast in the wet without taking a spill.!! Enjoy...

  18. Anyone on here ride a virago 535? I've just changed over from an MT03 660 single to the '96 virago and boy the suspension is... rough. I've never ridden cruisers before and while I get on with the bike quite well (and understand it's a totally different engine), it's the suspension that's giving me trouble (I've already changed the rear shocks for softer ones, checked the tyre pressue, and confirmed the forks are working just fine). Anyone have any experience riding both cruisers and tourers? My voice is shaking from the ride (when I speak to my husband over our headsets) and my shoulders are taking a beating. Is this just "how the virago is" when compared to other bikes?…
