The seat is not really improvement over staock but BEWARE!!!! If the easily removable backrest is stolen, Mustang WILL NOT sell you another backrest. You have to buy the entire $600+ seat just to replace a backrest or any other part. They are not even polite about telling you, "we sell seats, not parts." I wrote this warning to Cruiser Magazine and RoadBike Magazine. Art Freedman at Cruiser contacted Mustang and they lied to him, saying the backrest was available. Sorry, but the company does not tell the truth and, when you have been ripped off once by a thief, they rip you off again in your time of need. I will definitely never buy another Mustang product.

Right i know this is prob going to sound a bit nuts and its nothing to do with dewpy, this is serious, true. I was driving along the A47 today past Desford (Licestershire) when i saw what looked like and i was sober, a SR125 that had been EXTENSIVELY modded to take some sort of old V4 pre unit lump, and i mean old like exposed pushrods and such. It was an inline vertical 45degree V layout, also for some reason a hard tail????? with a sprung seat and was toodling along in his own sweet time at about 40mph. It had MRA on the black tank and had C120MRA as the reg, anybody got any ideas, he was heading into Licester with what looked like his work bag on his shoulder…

HI Guys I am getting there as regards to the learning curve I have found myself in. I've completely cleared the bike of Exmoor mud now I found a huge clump of it in the air box and on filter too I've drained & cleaned the oil reservoir cleaned carb and dried all the water out of the oil pump housing. I noticed on a previous post that its easy to bleed the oil pump is it the obvious screw head that's at the front to the top left? Also i've bought a new ignition barrel/switch with 9 connectors (2 Boxes) I can only find 2 wires connected to a normal spade switch Does this sound like a rewire job? Hope someone can give guidance. Cheers Geo I will post photos …

This photo was taken 2 weeks after I got it: These 3 after after the exhaust leak was fixed and painted. Exposed part of the frame repainted black and top part of engine also repainted black. Repainted foot pegs, and most rust surface removed from handlebars: What do you think of it now that it looks better guys? Btw, I do want to fix the seat, but not sure It will stay with since I'm in high school (year 12 A/S level) and not sure if I will stay in Greece (current location) or study abroad. Another reason is that I can't legally ride it since I'm 17 and I should be at least 18 to get the license. Those 2 reasons are what makes me sell it and buy something …

Well as the weather was nice the Divi came out & had a run to Stratford Upon Avon had a bit of a look around the city ... then I came across some barges on the river/canel area &there was 2 guys performing in just thongs .. I'm sure the one was Barwell . Its worth a run to just to see all the odd bikes & Trikes .... There was an old reliant which had been turned into a Trike (rather than plastic pig) but heyho each to their own ! Regards Jim

Its been running sloppy for awhile under 4k. Had trouble starting her this morning, but it went after a few tries. This evening, no go. No matter what. Even a push start did nothing. I reckon its the plugs. Got new ones arriving (CR10EK) tomorrow hopfully. My fingers are crossed.

Hello guys, im new to this form so if you havent seen my post in the newbie section i would just like to say hi I have a bit of a question really: just got a yamaha xvs 125 and it only goes 60mph. I have looked on the internet and there's people saying they can go about 65-70 how can i get this? is there a way to accelerate and go through the gears that will make it go faster? could it be the fule? if i use the expensive stuff will it go faster? could it be my spedo? you get spedo apps that will tell you the speed should i try this? If any one has any ideas will be greatly appreciated thanks guys ride safe.

So i went for a ride today in the hills, about a halfhour from me, a place called woodhead (aka snake pass) and i could hear that my bike was louder, so i stopped and realized the usual exhuast sound wasnt coming from the end of the exhuast, instead theres a hole at the start of my pipe so it sounds a tad loud, well it did anyway

A few years ago I had the notion to be a journalist working for a bike magazine and applied so for a job with one of the major titles. As my CV had nothing to do with bikes or biking I decided to submit an alternative CV detailing all the main bikes that I have owned and what impact they had on my life. Didn't get job obviously and the CV has been sitting on my PC ever since. I thought that you lot might find it of interest... Mar 00 to date Yamaha YZR600R Thundercat. Job Description: Sports tourer. This bike marked my return to the front of the pack, or at least towards the front. Blessed with a stupid name (could be worse could be a Vulcan), a stron…

Is it for peace on earth? NO! Is it that all wars will end? NO! Is it for snow on Xmas Day? NO! Is it that no one will be lonely? NO! So what is my Christmas wish for 2004? It's that Santa Claus brings John R6 a fucking bike, so we don't have another bloody year of inane questions! Closely followed by Karban's camera going belly up!
