.....I'm new, not only on here but to Yam's, 2 strokes and rebuilding/spannering, so go easy with me. Since buying a 1979 dt 175 mx as winter project last year things haven't moved on that well, down to the fact that just about every part on it was knackered, tonight I discovered the the loom and wiring is well past it's best and will probably need another, anyone know where I might get one? along with a bottom yoke, original exhaust and throttle cable/assembly - for starters. So far have had frame powder coated and new piston and rebore - that's it, well apart from picking up a few bits' to go on once it's ready to go back together. thanks and if virtual drinks are…

Hello to all in this forum. I have just got back in the saddle after a 4yr break whilst my wife had our children, yesterday I purchased a 2005 YZF R6 which I cannot wait to get on the road. Do you think I should have refresher lesson before I get back on the road? I live in the West Midlands and would like to attend local meets or ride outs, any ideas? I look forward to your advise... Anthony.

Hi. I have a 2000 (5EB) R6 in Blue. I bought a V PIece off EBay for it a couple of weeks ago. I went on my 1st Track Day at Donington yesterday, so I had waited til today to fit in "just in case". As it turns out, it doesnt fit. It is out in the Garage at th emo, but here is the EBay item number 280197153018. Compared to the oblack one that is already in situ, this is much more rounded at the pointy end, and the layout of the internal plastics is different, as are the fixing points. It SHOULD look like this (Ebay Item Number 280203355527). Is anyone on here astute enough to be able to tell from the picture what th eBlue one is actually from? Many thanks in a…

Hello again you lot! I've not been on here for a long time as I joined up with the MTOC havin' an MT01 & an MT03. But I didn't forget you. I need/would like your advice. I'm looking to get another commute scoot as the 03 can get a bit tiresome on my daily 80 mile return trip to London. I have been offered a reasonable deal on a 2007 TDM 900. I see a lot of 'em so they can't be too bad, can they?. Do they stand up well to the daily wear and tear. I'd like to understand there strengths and weaknesses. Anyone

Hi, i was wondering if anyone could help me. I've got a 2006 fz6 and when i accelerate fairly hard from low revs there is a slight vibration from the engine. It's only until the revs have picked up to around 4000 but i'm not sure whether that's normal or if there may be a problem. Any advice would be much appreciated. cheers

Hi all, just after a bit of advice really; Got an 08 r6 beginning of march, after putting down a deposit, the amount on 0% credit is £6100. made a payment so now down to £5900. right the reason for my post: it has been announced at work possible redundancy, and if i am laid off, i wont be able to keep up the repayments on the r6, so would have to sell. I dont know where i stand with taking the bike back, if the dealership would "buy back" the bike ( to be honest if i lost the £1500 ive already paid, it would be more peace of mind for me knowing the bike had been paid off) or if another garage would offer me more? The bikes done 100 miles, and ive been out on …

Nelson: "Order the signal, Hardy." Hardy: "Aye, aye sir." Nelson: "Hold on, that's not what I dictated to Flags. What's the meaning of this?" Hardy: "Sorry sir?" Nelson (reading aloud): "' England expects every person to do his or her duty, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religious persuasion or disability.' ? What gobbledygook is this?" Hardy: "Admiralty policy, I'm afraid, sir. We're an equal opportunities employer now. We had the devil's own job getting ' England ' past the censors, lest it be considered racist." Nelson: "Gadzooks, Hardy. Hand me my pipe and tobacco." Hardy: "Sorry sir. All naval vessels have now been designated smo…
