Hi Just picked up a XJ600N on Sunday, after 3 years with a GPZ500. So far i have only done about 250 miles, but lots more fun than the GP, only down side is the vibes at 4k. But as i look on this site before i got the bike, no supprise there. So thanks to all of you who posted as i might have been put off on the test ride otherwise. Heres to many more miles of FUN Paul

Ok Ive just noticed that my coolant tank. ( under seat, near rear shock) Has just gone empty, 2 days ago it was over the full line. and now i cant find any. did i lose it all from boil over? or where else could it have gone. she runs at a cool 73c on highway. but in city, in lots of lights runs at about 100celcius. I have 2 drip lines off the left side of my bike( near footpeg) what comes out of these drips lines ect ect. And also what coolant type does my machine run on. and how do i fill the damn thing!! everything is so compact and tight its hard to find any abvious places to refill anything. Thanks for any insight that comes my way

I had an off end of last year resulting in broken wrist etc etc. It turns out that the bike shop had fitted the wrong tyre to my Divvy. I hadn't noticed until cornering on a wet bend. I had assumed what they'd done was a-ok because they were a reputable main dealership - how wrong was I!!! Still, like someone said elsewhere biking is a continual learning experience.

  8. .....the Heel plates are scratched already! I think it's from all the dirt sticking to the inside of my boots while riding in the wet and then it get's scrubbed and scratched onto the heel plates while changing gear and applying the rear brake! Is their any way in getting the scatches out? Bit of T-Cut polish, will that do? I know I can't wrap my bike in cotton wool but you have to try!

I am currently reading The Police Rider's Handbook to Better Motorcycling. Every time I read it there is always a bit that I think to myself 'from now on I'm gonna do that'. I think my riding/attitude (now 20 years+) improves with every re-read too. It should be compulsory reading at CBT level. There is so much mental stuff you have to do when riding not just park your arse on it and go. If you haven't, read it, and if you have read it again. It'll save your life one day.

Hi all! I am wondering whether or not to get an SZR 660. Trouble is I dont know anyone that has one, or of any locally, as a few people that have reviewed and tested these bikes say they are best suited for people of 5 feet 10 inches or less. Is this true? (I am 5'11") It seems to fit my 'perfect bike' criteria(though it probably not perfect), and I am leaning towards getting one. I have yet to see one in the flesh! Help!!! I will sacrifice my too perfect(boring) vfr750 for one, if I can.

I was sitting in the front room this quiet sunday evening, when I heard the sound of a sports bike being revved, this is usually a sound that is music to my ears, but something was not right. I live at the end of a long cul-de-sac not ideal for top speed runs. When this bike (i think it was an R1 - moving too quickly to be exact) came hammering into the end of the close being ridden by a helmetless lune. He ran out of road so took to the pavement riding past my front door at about 30mph. He left the close after nearly totaling my neighbour and her small baby. If you are reading this Mr R1, then congratualtions, you are a great ambasidor for motorcycling and its mor…
