What's that old saying - 'If at first you don't suceed' - hmm in my case about 100 try agains . I finally got an image on my profile - to be honest I'm not entirely sure how i did it! It could have been imageshack OR photobucket - But then that other old gem - 'So close but so far' seriously rears its head. I don't seem to be able to crop or rotate the image - can anyone explain how? maybe its not possible? cheers frustrated from Devon.

cant seem to find front foot pegs + center stand. i noticed my center stand was more of a side stand.. Then i noticed if i was to do something drastic like ohh.. use the back break. the foot peg moves... so im trying to figure out where i would get atleast the little frame that has the footpegs I really need to jet wash the whole underside of the frame so i can see whats wrong. "could just need bolting on properly i guess" But if i do need to replace it. i have no idea where to get one. Or if i can use one from a diferent model yamaha. also not to sure about welding it back together if its snaped as i dont know what the MOT people would say

Hi Folks Not a Yamaha owner at the moment but am thinking about getting a Bulldog. It seems to get mixed reviews but I like the idea of a big V Twin in a bike that can handle and stop. Its a cool looking bike too, but I other than that I dont know much about it - so thought I might find some advice on this site! So, couple of questions for you: Whats it like to own? Reliable? Easy to do basic servicing at home? Does it handle/stop well? (Bearing in mind Im a bit of a noob - passed my test 6 months ago. So Im not, nor never will be, a 'knee-down-ninja'!) My one concern is the lack of power - 60HP seems a bit crap for such a big engine - how much can it be tuned…

Only reason I ask is that it was my first bike. Was a white one, usual gold wheels and had an Autisa 65cc kit. Was taxed up until march this year. Got fond memories of my first taste of proper freedom. Last time i saw it was when I traded it in at a dealership in Maidstone, Kent for an RD125LC back in 1989, christ, now i feel old . Looked exactly like this:

As a cret...novice when it comes to all things TDR..my last 2 stroke, a 1968 YDS5E back in 1972...yes I'm really THAT old! Could anybody guide me through the main reasons why I ought to wear stout walking boots and have a fully paid up road recovery membership in operation? Did the TDR have an achilles heel and are there any warning signs I ought to be aware of? Much thanks in anticipation of your recommendation that it'll be a fine trans continental tourer..ahem.. Cheers bonnietiler

I've decided to get a Fazer again, but can't decide between a FZS600 (like my old one) or a 2003 FZ600 for a slight update. Anyone ridden both, had experience, got any opinions to help me decide? Cheers Graham

A friend of mine is rebuilding a 2004 Dt125re, the bike was bought as an incomplete project the engine fitted is a 4GW which I think is a TDR. The engine runs and sounds sweet but the only problem we have is the YPVS system dosn't work, It originaly came with a 3 wire servo that didn't match the loom, so we aquired a 5 wire plugged it in, nothing, The wiring loom looks to be the original and we've checked it for condition & continuity. What I do want to know, is if there should be power to the YPVS servo when the ignitions turned on, so that it can go through its cleaning process, if so ,where does the power come from ? my guess is the cdi unit. The CDI i…

I wish I had a nickle for every time someone finds out where I live. I am bombarded with questions about "The Dragon" so here is a basic over view. We locals call it the hill, others may refer to it as the dragon, daddy dragon (yes there is a baby dragon too), hwy 129, tail of the dragon, deals gap and so on.I live about 20 min from it and try to ride there 4x a week. It is 318 curves in an 11 mile stretch. These are switch backs with chicanes and even banking on some of them. You can find excellent footage of it on you tube. My buddy is the fastest guy there and has videos on YT as well. Check him out "Jared Barnes Dragon Slayer" All video is shot by the us129photos crew…

Please can anyone help, if they have already fitted heated grips to their XVS950......? I have bought Oxford-style heated grips. (They are "On Tour" but look like they may be made by Oxford for On Tour) - 22mm diameter for clutch side, and 25.6mm for throttle. After removing the bar ends and then the rubber grip on the throttle side, the plastic sleeve that the new grip goes over seems to large - it also has big ribs all along it. The inside of the new heated throttle grip has a hard sleeve in it, which I assume slips over the plastic sleeve on the handle, but they seem exactly the same size (ignoring the ribs, which would need to be shaved off or cut down. H…

Battery is charged, bulbs are ok and bike is in neutral Is there a single feed from the battery to these lights? Any ideas before I start stripping down the wiring loom. Cheers
