hello peeps When I bought my 89 DT 125r the guy said that they guy before him had swapped the engine for a 2002 engine. Im looking to do the top end on it but obviously the piston sizes differ from the original 89 engine and the newer ones. Is there an easy way to see if the engine is different to the original (with taking the head off and measuring the piston). I use this bike everyday as it is my only mode of transport so i need to keep the downtime to a minimum to enable me to get work etc. I would like to be able to order all the parts and do it all at once. Could i take the head off measure the piston and then put it back on with the original gaskets o…

Hello! I'm brand new to the website and forum and I already have a question! My 2001 VStar 650 is in the shop getting new tires and fork dust seals. A friend in TN is sending me a Memphis Shades windshield but no mounting hardware. I need to order the hardware but there is a difference between the Classic and Custom and I don't know which one is my bike (the manual is on the bike). Is there an easy way to tell which model is mine? I searched the 'net for VIN number decoders but didn't find how the VIN will tell me which bike I have. The VIN is JYAVM01E51A034110 if that helps. I'm glad to be here and I look forward to spending some time here and on the road. …

Hi guys Wonder if anyone could help me. I have an XV750 which was given to me by my father who has recently passed away. It was first registered in 93 on an X plate but I'm sure it was imported from the US. The speedo is redlined at 55mph. I need to sell it on as I need some space. Could any one give me an idea of how to go about finding a rough value for it? Thanks Mike

Dump the male flight attendants. No one wanted them in the first place. Replace all the female flight attendants with good-looking strippers! What the hell, they don't even serve food anymore, so what's the loss? The strippers would at least triple the alcohol sales and get a 'party atmosphere' going in the cabin. And, of course, every businessman in this country would start flying again, hoping to see naked women. Because of the tips, female flight attendants wouldn't need a salary, thus saving even more money. I suspect tips would be so good that we could charge the women for working the plane and have them kick back 20% of the tips, including lap dances and 's…

Hi All, new to the forum so that I'd post up and introduce myself. Name is Stuart and I'm from Aberdeen. Just passed my test the other day and have purchased a brand new Fz6 (getting registered Monday). I work as a Network Security Analyst and Technical Consultant which unfortunately means using the bike for commuting is impossible - kind of hard to carry servers etc on a bike! Very much looking forward to gettting out on the road to practice and get used to the bike. I'm booking advanced lessons with an ex motorbike cop in the coming weeks and would like to achieve some sort of advanced riding certification. Will be a challenge, but I want to be …

Hello there, passed my test this year at the ripe age of forty! (mentally ten though) got a blue fazer S2 (2007) at a steal...I think Stratstone at Clycross undervalued it and I got it for a bargain...I think. Daughter can't wait to get on the back of it and ride to Matlock for chips and the arcades lol. Done loads of miles on it and has made me grin...especially after 8000rpm when it changes into bonkers psycho mode. now need a decent exhaust on the rear and a new back tyre. any advice please. Oh yes and after 22 years away from the saddle it feels absofoookinlootly brilliant.

Morning All I've just serviced my 600fzs fazer 2002 and everything seems to be running perfectly. The bike is new to me since passing my test in October and since riding it for the first time there has always been what I can only describe as a Howling/sreaming noise that seems to be coming from the front end. It doesn't kick in until about 25mph and gets progressively louder and the pitch gets higher the faster you go! It's had new quality brake pads, there is no play in the front bearing at all and the break discs are in excellent condition. I've even taken off the front mud guard extension to see if that was rubbing on the nearly new tyre to see if that makes a diffe…
