  1. My Ride Reports from Spain have been a bit thin on the ground this year due to work commitments. But amazingly I had a free day.....so off I went to explore an area I'd never been to before....the Sierra de Pozo National Park. Going through Castril I encountered the remains of a Suzuki strewn everywhere! Closer investigation revealed it was the debris from my mate's DL1000....he recently rode over all the way from the UK, along with another mate on an R1200GS. Then he managed to break his foot 15 miles from my house! Being a good friend I retrieved the plastic cos I've still got his Strom (and the GS) in my garage and they went home by plane! I know how to show…

Hi, have just today bought an XJ 550. It needs a bit of TLC and I am looking forward to using it very soon. I thought I would just drop in tonight to say hi and introduce myself. You seem to have all the answers to all the questions I might need to ask soon, so hope to speak to you all soon.

Does anyone know if any of these engines will fit in my baby??? or has anyone converted there bike to a bigger engine and could give me some advice on who what and were, or if indeed it is a real pig of a job and if i'd be better to take this oppertunity to buy a new bike, i'd be grateful on some tips. I'd rather keep her but i'm stuck on what to do !!!! I just wanna get out and ride!!! please help lol !!!

Well here goes, my first foray onto an internet forum on bikes. This should serve to show that even some of us in the trade don't know it all. I've returned after 15 years out of it to the workshop which is non franchised and but equipped to the teeth and prepared to service and repair anything. We have an XT 600Z with a G plate. Its a UK model and unfortunately for us we have to get this non runner into a goer. The recent work history given to us though means we need to follow all the genuine Yamaha testing on the electrics and ignition system to find the fault. It has been to another nearby local repair shop who fobbed the owner off in an appalling manner …

I recently purchased a v-star650 custom 2003, joining a club/forum is always a great way to get info on bike and research troubles, if any. I see alot of posts from the UK, is this site originated in the UK? or have i missed something in my settings. Enjoy reading all the posts and wish everybody well. Paul

I managed to leave the house today without reading the weather report, and got stuck in a thunder storm. I tried to wait it out for a bit, but had other things to do. my jacket kept me relatively dry, but im kind of interested to see whats out there for weatherproof riding gear. so, what do you guys use? if money wasnt an issue, what would you use, and if you were on a budget, what would you get? thanks in advance! oh, and i realize that the poll is pretty basic, but i wanted to get an idea of how many people ride year-round or mostly year round.

greetings folks! I'm mikey... 25 going on 18 and just signed up yesterday. found the site off google while i was searching for info on R6's.. I've not got a bike yet, but got my eyes on a '01 R6 that one of the lads back home is selling.. One of my mates went round last night to check it out and take it for a ride and said it was alright so looks like its the bike for me (i'm out in india working just now so couldnt check it for myself) However, ive still to pass my test, but having a bike sitting will push me to get it done, as ive always wanted on a bike since i was 17.. just always put off getting lessons... time and money etc. but now i'm in the position …

Hi. Just dropping a quick message to introduce myself. I'm Nathan and the owner of a 07 midnight black R6. I was the owner of a ebony (I like black) Kawasaki ZX636 (let the flaming begin ) until it was written-off by a bloke in a 4x4. Unfortunately I was on the bike at the time so it resulted in a few broken bits of my own. Able to ride again now tho and 3rd party admitted liability so got the R6. Amazing bike. Thought the ZX636 was good, the R6 is on another level. Anyway, looks like a wicked forum so hope to be asking and answering questions and making some new mates. Cheers.

hello all !! Im new to this forum thingy but Ive got a 86 Yamaha FZ600 bike that some asshole previous owner really screwed up.. It seems he used excessive amounts of silicone on the face of the cam cover which squeezed inside and ended up in the oil pump intake in the crankcase, clogging it, restricting the oil flow and now causing the crank, cams and head to get screwed. 2 of the main bearings have spun and so has one of the rod bearings which has mostly fallen apart causing the rod to be loose and rattle (the reason i originally tore the engine apart) Ive now got a crank, two cams and a head that are scratched beyond sensible use and a bunch of worn ou…

Hello !!! I am new to this. My name is Jim & I have recently purchased a DT125R to commute from Cambridge to Melbourn (in England), which is a journey of about 14 miles each way, in order to save my job as a Buyer for a roofing company ... I am now waiting to do a CBT, such that I can legally ride - I used to ride a little Suzuki ER50 back in the early 80's, but that was a long time ago!!! I am a little nervous & am in need of getting hold of some reasonably cheap protective clothing, i.e. jacket etc - does anybody haver any ideas in my area of England? My bike is all black & looks & perfroms like a dream. Please - let me know…

Hi all New to the forum, but an old biker !! If there are any other super tenere riders out there with a solution to the cr*p head lamps please, please, please tell me. I have a 1991 super tenere with the old 35w twin lamps, I can't seem to get a upgrade on the lamps, i.e halogen. Is there a solution for this, can you mod any other head lamps to fit ? Would be grateful to hear from anyone who has achieved a decent light sorce rather than relying on the candle power !! Many thanks Tony

I haven't had a trail bike for 30+ years, but am getting my new (to me) TT600R delivered in an hour. It is in great condition and has only travelled 1100Ks (660miles). Looking forward to some serious dirt time, lots of forests around here. I'll post a pic asap.
