Hi all For those of you looking to buy a decent flip-up helmet there are some Shark Evoline series 2 on eBay at what I believe to be a good price: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/bikersbargains/_i.html?_nkw=evoline&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p4634 That it all. (I'm neither the seller nor affiliated with him/her in any way)

I never use hearing protection other than my helmet, and I was wondering how the rest of you treat this issue. The people here seem to be worse drivers on average than I have ever had to deal with, so I want to be able to hear whats going on around me more clearly. My bike is pretty loud though, and I am sure that my hearing is being damaged at least a little. So, how often do you use hearing protection? Have you noticed that plugs make you miss anything?

Hi all, Been posting on here for a while (mostly re my piece of rubbish SR125 that has now soldiered on dragging my 18 stone bulk over 30,000 miles!). As some of you may know, when I was 17 I had my full bike course booked when a week before I got knocked off by a van and missed it! After getting over that I ended up buying a car and spending my money on drink etc until I bought my SR125 a 2 years ago (I'm still only 21!) I have now booked my DAS which is great news If things all go well I shall be fully licenced around 3pm on the 3rd December and I have never ever been so excited as getting my licence has been something I've wanted to do since I …

Two questions really, my 57 plate XT125R is serving me well but as I commute daily on it all year round I'd like to get some of those toasty heated grips! Am I right in thinking the XT125 will have a smaller battery and might not cope with them? So anybody fitted them and also what make/model is recommended? Second question, as many people have commented on here, the headlight is pants. Is it upgradable to one of these hid type things? Or again am I risking the battery going 'I've had enough, I cant do this anymore!' ?

well today i thought i might get a set of heated grips and hein gericke had an offer on , have had them on other bikes but not on this bike, so off i went to get them, as i was buying them the guy looked through the window and asked me what size engine the bike was i replied its a 125 dragstar at which point he put the heated grips back on the shelf with no good for you mate they would drain your battery cant fit them on 125 bikes, as its a 12 volt battery i did not think it would be a problem? but he would not sell me any whos right?

Folks I'm looking for recommendations for a heavy duty bike cover. I need to take the bike out the shed for a few weeks and the weather up here is shit. I bought an Oxford cover last year and it didnt last the pace. The silver coloured material (for those who know) ended up shredded with just a little wind

Times are hard in the recession therefore I have made sure my bikes are ready for winter ie new tyres, oil, plugs, blankets, pillows, new battery (I don't ride in winter this is just for storage). So I now am broke and can't feed my 7kids and 1 small slave I am left with no choice it's either our pet guinea pigs "twinkle" and "angelface" or the hedgehog my mate flattened last week on the B152 with his trusted reliant Robin. All share a hutch together and the guinea pigs always snuggle up behind Hoggies remaining bodyparts. Duck in a duck why not pig in a hog...????

Well, the lil cbr has the most pathetic wheel/tyre combo at 80/17 100/17 i mean come on there are pushbikes with wider, thats fact too not just internet bull. Anyway, looking at her boyfriends bike, then looking again with a tape measure, what do you know the spacings work to switch the wheels. So she may well get some yzf wheels in her cbr, get em powder coated repsol orange. 😈 Can feel the hate 😱

I don't bloody well believe it! It seems I was right, it is catching...............yep, I got a large dose of the forum virus and went out and bought a H*%da!! I can have no excuse, it MUST be the virus Ok, ok, time to own up. I actually bought it through choice, no, more than that, I've wanted one for ages! It's a cruise missile cunningly disguised as a Super Blackbird CBR1100XX, I'm picking it up on Friday and I can't wait!
