Ive come to a realisation, ive been here for 3 years atleast and still have not travelled a great distance for recreation on a bike, i used to post about going to ireland for a week when i was riding the DT but in reality i doubt the old donkey would have got me there and back on one set of piston rings. i now have a fireblade, am out of the country until march and will be moving to wolverhampton in april, during which i have 4 weeks off work. so, where is the best place to go?, may be like asking a blind man to tell you what the colour blue looks like but even so i want to get away for a week or so, i will need to take kit appropriate to the climate…

ok, so, barkwindjammer suggested this idea to me. I put about 2 hours into it, and had a bunch of fun. thanks for the idea bark! later in time, around the turn of the century, steam power took over: (this one I worked for over 3 weeks on. over 25 different pieces went into this. it was for a competetion at a photoshop site that im part of, to make an everyday object look like it came from the steam era.I started with a pic of my dt175. the only thing that remains from the original pic is the tires and the front shocks which i colored to look copper, the kickstand and shifter. oh, and the pavement)

........I don't feel any older today on my 42nd Birthday :? Probably because i'm working loads of OT as of late...........just like I always seem to be doing around my birthday :roll: .........gotta work on Saturday this weekend, but I'm getting next weekend off to take the missus & my little lad out for some camping 8) The weather is starting to finally improve, so I might get the chance to test out the new Ski Boat this Sunday :tu I'd surely rather be RIDING on my birthday, but I'll settle for a well-deserved weekend away from Everything next weekend :wink:
