I recently replaced my front brake pads with ceramic pads. Is there really a big difference in metal and ceramic pads? All went well unitl I went to test them out and noticed I have a significant delay in coming to a stop once the front brake is applied. Anyone have this issue and a resolution?

Folks a couple of questions ive just done a small service on my xj900f (94) oil first with new filter, the old oil smelled kinda like petrol, could this be because the bike was running rich?and the excess fuel getting in through the bores new air filter next was new plugs changed out with type recomended in the haynes with a 0.70 gap as recomended(the old plugs had gaps ranging from 0.25 to 0.35 and were pretty much carboned up) however the bike ran with these plugs on trying to start her up the starter motor turns over fine and the engine is turning over but no spark and a strong smell of fuel obviously flooding, should i reduce the gap to say 0.50 or can anyone see…

im looking to swap my stock YBR grips for some oxford hot grips (or the dr. bike ones, which appear to be the same but cheaper ), but im not sure if it will be easy enough to fit: most guides seem to show bikes with bar ends, which my YBR (2011 model) doesnt have, but rather the rubber grip covers over the bore in the handlebar is it still practical and easy to fit heated grips? and do i require any more hardware to add (like if the grips allow for bar ends and leave a hole for the screw) thanks

ive installed a new topbox with intergrated brake lights, and the wire powering these is left bare in the kit, so i chopped the existing line, and chock-blocked the three bare wires together. a few days ago, i found that my brake lights weren't working at all, so i investigated and found that i'd gone over a bump too fast and one side of the chock block had lost its wires, not hard to fix, but i had no idea how long i had no brake lights for does anyone know a better way to secure the wires so that i don't have to worry about the speed humps on the way to work? thanks

Hi guys, So as it starts to get colder, I need to get a new pair of gloves that actually stop my fingers from feeling like they are going to fall off! Any suggestions for some winter gloves that aren't too expensive would be much appreciated. Cheers /Steve

Hi I recently emptied my engine oil for a refill and also put in a new set of clutch plates. Now i have everything back together. No engine oil is in it. would this be the reason for my clutch lever to have no force/resistance in it? If i refill the oil would the clutch lever comes back to life? Cheers in advance for the help!

I'm considering buying a pit bike for a little project (as they're cheaper for parts and take up less space...) someone try and talk me out of it? Or is this just another one of my totally flawless ideas?!

Got overtaken by a DT today, probably some teenager, I couldn't do out because a van was in the way. A DT would beat my 4T XT 125 anyway. It was pretty embarrassing to be honest. One thing I noticed as he was in front of me is that the wheels on his bike looked really thin, ridiculously thin.

So I own a Dtr-125 and I'm looking to get like a real offroad racing bike like a yz or ktm. I want to know if I would be able to handle the power of the YZ or KTM. I've been riding for eight years but only in woods and fields. I've rode 85's, they have got a kick but I find them small bikes and it will be easy for me to grow out of it. So simple question, if I can ride a DTR-125 would I be able to ride a YZ-125?

hi folks, can anyone tell me if it is legal to display a number plate on the side (facing the rear of course) in the UK? been having a look through the UK GOV and DVLA sites and although it doesnt specify you can, it doesnt specify you cant either as far as i can see. just double checking as over here in QLD most cruiser/harley riders have theirs on the side despite it being technically illegal so when i had my bobber conversion done i had my plate on the rear which unfortunately ruins the aesthetics a little. Grave(ly perplexed)
