Great weekend guys Enjoyed our little jaunt through the peak district that was a good call Jason Peak district contingent at Holm Moss summit, Derbyshire/Yorkshire border, Andrews poor little SR got a nasty surprise but it took it in its stride..Oh yes and look at this motley bunch on Scarborough beach... after this Andrews poor little SR gave us all a surprise...WOW what a willing little motor it is, who'd have thought it, thanks again to all who went it was great to see you all again.

check the connections to the spark plug caps are good and that the HT leads are not sparking to earth (might have to check this when it's dark)

normally everything works off battery apart from the headlight but its been a while since I had one of these so cant be certain

I'm surprised the indicators worked without the battery,.... so they wont work without the engine running then

try yambits or wemoto for a replacement

didnt you read my previous post ? perhaps the battery is konked!

easy to check a rectifier. set your multimeter to continuity (ohms), touch the terminals on the rec and than switch the meter probes to the other terminal...you will only get continuity in one direction

thats the rectifier, my guess is the rectifier has been passing so much current trying to re charge your flat battery that it over heated and died! I suggest a new rectifier and a new battery
