    I assume nobody who knows read this...we arent a shop, a garage, a diagnostics centre that works for free, just a bunch of enthusiasts. I doubt if people who know the answer would ignore your plea. Good luck and if you find a way let us know so we might be able to annswer something similar in future An adjustment of attitude would be appropriate here.

    Nice...I rang them to get the sorn history of my DTR, to back up the 80km's in 7 years, they said I need to fill form x and pay a nominal fee but I cant remember what form x was Probably the same route...so what is form x mate

    They wont touch it bacause it wont go in their bike lift and health and safety says they must not bend over

    could well need torqueing, however!! dont be surprised if the studs start to pull right out of the barrel because the 30 year old threads have finally given up.

    There will be a wiring diagram in the manual, I would guess though that the battery negative terminal (have you got a black wire on it) connects to black in the loom somewhere nearby. I think you are right and you have bitten off a lot, hope mrs bidders is a patient sort but you will learn a lot of useful stuff meanwhile ...Paul
