  1. yeah...'a fucking good weekend' WP
  2. It's just not necessary, just put the bike on it's stand and clean the chain insitu...no need to soak it in anything...matter of fact I dont think 'soaking' it in a cleaning solution/solvent will be anything but bad pactice as it will dispell the lube from between the rollers and plates.

  15. Hope you know what you are doing Graham...is it a tried and tested mod? what happens when the baffle hits the end of the hole cutter...long arbor or not ?
  16. No sir just for cleaning.
  17. sorry mike but engine oil on chains just isnt up to the job, I've obviously been there and tried it but it washes off with rain far quicker than pukka chain lube. I prefer the sticky oily one to the dry (how can you lube summat dry?) type. Ohh and I clean the chain with a rag soaked in WD40, thats good for me.
  18. eee I love these when I were a lad snippets
  19. No I didnt 'flip it' look again at the diagrams you will see the turn is much less than 90 degrees...you can have a choice of two positions without 'flipping it'
  20. From seeing the video it seems the starter motor is working just fine. However I wonder about the compression, it seems to whizz the engine over just a little too easily. Verify there is a good oil level in the engine and try a squirt of oil in the spark plug hole (not too much...about a teaspoon full) this can restore compression if continual starting has washed away the oil from the piston. I take it there is lots of fuel available too?
  21. how can it be 90 degrees? look at the pics...it's a diamond shape not a bloody square
  22. Weve had downpours all day here today, then blue skies, then more rain...it never really dried out!
