Good you"v got sorted, the main jet has no bearing on low engine speed. only wide open throttle. pilot jet & air screw determine idle and first 1/4 of throttle opening,,
Stick my hands on the cylnder heads to warm gloves, when its cold, [ thats most of the time up here]. then read the opisite lights, and time it for the take-off,
Yeh plates wil be stuck, put front wheel against wall, ,and with lever pulled in select gear,, if that dont work ,, strip needed,
them air joints on carb look iffy, and stock air filtre would be better, to solve the running issues ,

Welcome 96" as he says take out the pilot jet, clean it till all holes are clear, the carb bottom will have a well with small hole in bottom, this feeds the choke jet, blast it thru with carb clean, .air screw will be 1.5 turns out,
