OK" piccy 2 , the cable should go into a splitter under tank, same place as throttle cable. piccy 3 , is the oil feed to carb, or banjo on crank case, Run this bike on pre-mix till this is sorted.. 4600 mls is low, for a bike this age, it looks like an 1980"s style, -
Now neo" it was 17 degrees in Lomdonshire mid-week ,,

Welcome harv" What model is yours, the AT2E & AT3E have a starter generator, whitch have brushes 4 of, Other models have magnito / charging coils ,[ 1 coil in UK dt models,] -

Heres another usefull page, to tune carb after removing airbox, , My ZL900 ws overich when i got it, [black sooty exhausts,] i removed air filtre , and a massive improvement , took carbs off to set float level, and checked the pilot screws, 4 turns out, [ that richens these carbs,] set them back to 2&1/8. and problem solved,,, ..read this page,, http://bikeadvice.in/fit-kn-filter-rejet-carburetor/

Yeh " turn carbs up , and screw should be in a deep well, [ sometimes a plug needs to be removed to see them , ] located at front side of bowl, [ not bowl itself,] screw them fully home , then turn them, out 2 &/18 turns, Look a diagram , pilot screw, [ in small box to left] thers a rubbers stopper, then screw, ] http://cdn.cheapcycleparts.com/images/KA/61790.png

Davie," heres some spec , The Pilot Air screw is what i mean, 2 1/8 turns out, ,Access to them is below,... Make - Keihin/CVK 32 Main jet- 125 Air jet- 130 Jet needle- N27N Pilot jet- 35 pilot air jet- 125 Pllot Screw - 2 1/8 Turns out Float height - 17mm

Well done davie" whats in the glass Ardbeg" oh what do you mean not proper seated , looks ok,,, them are the same carbs as my illiminator, ZL900, see how the breathers are all top mounted, same as fuel inlets, Aye " and air screws are on bottom side, so adjust to book settings before intalling,,

Well done john" i remember you looking for 1 , is it the Uk black/ white, or Usa Yellow, ? I sold mine on, it ended up in that dealer in London [Frank 1] it was a minter too, . -

Am up N/E scotland,,, 500mls north of you, i see it was 17 degree"s in london yest,, jammy sods, is that the oil tank up front ? usualy below seat, ,, you know the gearbox is separate oil level on a 2 stroke then,, check that too.

Aye billy" you should have a 2 stroke oil tank, and don"t need pre-mix, look for the filler , and check the level, And the forcast is freezing this weekend,,,

Hi ther " be more specific" Idle - is it ok when cold ? when warm is it reving higher, Cutting out ? is it 4 stroking [ spluttering] at what revs, and does it die completely.? How long has it been standing without use ? = fuel petcock remove and clean , carb off and take out ALL jets, - set air screw to manual settings, then we"l talk crank seals,,
