  1. Electric faults often seem like hte hardest things in the world to get sorted simply becasue there's no real obvious plavce to start. However, you should start at the basics. Make sure your battery has a full charge. Quite often as the weather turns cooler it seems to bring out a flush of knackered batteries. check your fuses and replace seeing as they are just a few pence each. 99% of the time it's cured

Just keep an eye on your oil level. It might have risen if petrol got passed the rings.

It maybe that your exhaust pipe is all clogged up. If you can then take out the baffle and se if it's all gunged up. I would think that if you cannot decide if the powervalve should be open or shut then see which one gives the best tick over. This wil be the normal psition for it.

Now that's good advice, get used to handling the weight and turing a heavy bike before you throw a wedge at it. I bought a set of braided lines for my 350 last year and I still haven;t got around to fitting them yet becasue it's such a crapper of a job .

Carbs are usually set so they run rich anyway but the needle does not affect tickover. So probably either a bit mucky, air leak or poorly balanced.

Not ideal but you can just glue the splits together with super glue.

I used to have orange orange ones on my LC in 1989. I have a piccy of me doing a whelie and the flash sets off the sickers really nicely. I have red on my PV. Poncey but eye catching

We just got this with our car. The mechanic said that the cold snaps recently had recently caused a purge of batteries to fail. No other choice but to replace it.

  18. It does not sound too serious. If it comminf fom the carb then this is where you should start. Hopefully there is a model mark on your carb and you check with Twisted. I think you need to check your carb and start with the basics. Nice and clean and that your choke works and also that your gap at the plugs is right.
  19. You might have sticky floats. Although they are set right they may not go up or down and 'freeze' in the off position. Or you've lots of crud on your fuel tap.
  20. Should really get a compression test while you're there too

    pm ON THE WAY!
  24. It sometimes seems that the fuel flter is crap. when you first fill them up make sure they a pointing straight down. Then the air can either be pushed out or filter back up. Once ther'e full they are OK but getting them full takes a little experimentation. As for the brake caliper It maybe dry siezed so add a few drops of brake oil to your piston to keep it wet. Not sure about it not starting just yet. Did you use the choke?
  25. Well done becasue it was a right crap heap. funnily enugh though it used to look like my bike does now
