Thanks Mervin , I'll see if I can find out . As far as I know there's a few bikes and the Banshee Quad all sharing the same set up .

At last ! I managed to get hold of an LC tank in fairly good nick . It's got some filler , scratches and small dents but no rust as far as I can see . I'll enjoy rubbing it back into shape and I'll get saving for a mitaka clutch kit and a set of gearbox bearings . I'm thinking yellow for the tank . Any one out there got any LC gear selector forks lying around ?? Two of mine are shagged .

Cool , might grab meself a ski-suit , a canoe and some brews while I'm there . I love Aldi !

I've "fixed" slightly bent handlebars by inserting a length of solid bar into the bar end and levering the bar back to where it was supposed to be . Careful though , it's easy to overdo it .

You'll just need to take the glaze off the bore , a very light hone . A rub with some Scotchbrite would do the job . I've had a new ring break because I neglected to do this .

Hi there !
-
They have green diesel here in the Emerald Isle .

Hi Cath , welcome to the puzzle factory !

Try slackening the cable slightly so the biting point is when the lever is closer to the bar ,

Hi Noise , great work there and she's looking good . What type of paint did you use on the engine covers ? It's a really nice finish .

There's a company called Hi Level that do a large range of aftermarket exhausts . I just got one for the CG , very reasonably priced and the quality looks pretty good . Check 'em out .

The best , if not all that dangerous , ride I've done was the Leh - Manali highway in India (over 3 miles above sea level in some parts ). On an Enfield Bullet . Google it . Great fun . The road in the sky .

Hahaaa! Oh God , this brings me back to my youthful days of blind enthusiasm and blissful ignorance . A little knowledge truly is a dangerous thing . There's a book on Two Stroke tuning by a bloke called Bell , if you can find it (and then understand it ) it'll tell you all you need to know . Or ,alternatively, leave well enough alone .

Hi ele , that little bike looks pretty much all there so don't go nuts spending money on it just yet . Get it running and tidy up what's there and by then you'll know exactly what's needed . Yambits UK will have most of what you need and there is a wealth of experience and good advice on here . The RS was a cracking little bike and yours could be too with some tlc and plenty of elbow grease . Best of luck .

Why is he getting rid I wonder ? Remember , you never know what you've bought until you get the seat and tank off for a good look .

For that kind of money I'd be after an IT 490 air cooled !

Thieving Scum !! It's a pity you didn't wire one of the locks to the mains !

Loudness does not equal speed . And you'll find you can only hear the tv at full volume , faintly .

Any of you lads ever pop over for the roadracing ? It's a good weekend , cheap enough if you don't mind camping . Some buzz sitting in the hedge watching (and feeling the breeze) as the boys go past at 200+ in the old money . Plenty of classic and vintage racing that you won't see on tv , bring yer earplugs .

Your battery terminal connections are loose/dirty .
