help with dt125 PLEASE running problem
Spare wires probably won't solve your problem here...if you think the problem has to do with wiring then fit a new loom and take matters from there.

chrome rusting on dt125r
For surface rust on chrome I use tin foil and spit (saliva), it sounds pretty gross but trust me it works a treat. Once it's all nice and shiny again I give the chrome a very thin coating with vaseline (not on the exhausts of course) if I'm going to ride in wet conditions,,,just make sure it's washed and polished once a week and things should be ok ........what I find to be even better than tin foil is "silver paper", the most effective being the interior wrapping found in cigarette packets, but only the silver wrapping, not the gold (doesn't work at all)!

1974 DT 125
I'd be sorely tempted to replace as many engine components as I could afford to on this, and well worth it too...it could be a combination of probs,. Wot a project of the heart tho'!!

Engine cut out while riding and won't start... Are you ready Sherlock?
My pal recently put his bike into a “reputable” motorcycle garage (been in business for 50+ years) for various reasons, and to cut a long story short, the damn “mechanic” had re-fitted the fuel valve the wrong way round (no offence to ANY mechanics, it can happen). He’d travelled about 4 miles before the engine cut out….and that was after driving 3 miles home then taking it out next day. Sry, I can't add anything else to the suggestions in the above post.

Snow Again !!!!!!!!!
Starting to rain the white stuff here too, tho' it doesn't really bother me usually....it's the damn ice that forms underneath on the roads that the council don't deem as a priority to grit that annoys me big time.... oh, and the best of lucky with the MOT Airhead!

Has anyone noticed?
Good point Ryan09, I tend to think they do rely on our laziness in order to make more profit! Here's the thing too, I insured online and after all the usual Q's and A's....I checked my policy and was confused to learn that I'm only insured for overnight theft if the bike is kept in the secured garage pertaining to the post code I provided. Needless to say, I really do have to give them a phone (holidays etc,) Always prudent to double check everything....
