Mate if you're selling your TDR I want it! Prices are crazy for 2 strokes though, makes sense to keep it in my opinion

Just Bought A XJ6n, What Do You Guys Think?
finnerz89 replied to SToneZ's topic in New Members Welcome Area
Looks mint! Nice purchase -
Looking at those I would imagine they've been overtightened as well, hence the bending of the clamps. Torque setting for the exhaust bolts on my 675 is 18nm I think. Yours would be something similar, I'm surprised there's thread left in the cylinder head
-
Plenty of heat and you should be able to bend them back
-
Saw that earlier, Christ knows what that thing is running on
-
Just be careful of the pesky thieves!
-
Have a look on fowler's parts. If they haven't got any available on backorder then you can at least get the yam part number. It will also tell you if any bikes share the same part
-
If your rear axle is hollow you should be able to get something universal, will be fine for chain cleaning etc. No good for removing the wheel though
-
Looking good mate, cracking job!
-
Hope you all have a good one, I've got a houseful including my 2 year old nephew. Thought I'd share this
-
Sounds like you bent the lever, either get yourself a new one or heat it up gently and bend it back
-
What? Who said that?

Pics are working for me

Before going down that route stop being a big Jesse and open it up! Going in to top is pointless unless you're doing high rpm. So grab a handful and give it some
-
50/55mph at 6k is pretty good I reckon. Don't be afraid of taking it above that rpm while running in, just don't hold it there for long. The top end on my DT is at like 11500rpm, and I wouldn't put it in top gear until about 9000 minimum.
-
Looking forward to seeing it in person on Saturday
-
If the head gasket has gone then you'll be losing coolant out of the expansion tank. If it was my bike I wouldn't be running it! It might be worth testing your thermostat when you have the system drained and making sure that opens when hot
-
ACF50 I imagine
-
According to my local dealers post on Facebook it's ridden on a bike license, so not really a trike
-
Definitely a bit weird looking, but I definitely want a go on one
-
That's Donington park for you, all right handers!
-
Yeah it's true, arriving in the spring for test rides according to my local dealer. I wonder if it's actually free standing? It's always on the sidestand in the pictures I've seen
-
My roadsmarts went really knobbly too
-
Any sports touring tyre from a reputable manufacturer should be fine. I'm running Dunlop roadsmart 3's on 2 of my bikes without issues. I'd recommend them
-
Well if both those things are bosted you'll never get it to run. However I'd say it's unlikely that both components would break at the same time. Do you have a wiring diagram? I'd be looking for a common connection between the 2. I'm assuming your battery is in good nick and fully charged? Does the engine turn over off the starter but not fire?
