  1. Early birthday wishes to the both of you!
  2. 700 miles has been my maximum in one day so far. On a cold November Sunday... But then again my Tiger is a tad more comfortable than the bikes you have Drewps... Ha ha!
  3. Sorry to hear you went down Feliks. Some of the roads in that video looked fun - hairpins. But I can't believe how bad the road surface was in places.
  4. I'm afraid I'm not on the list anymore guys - got a few personal things going on at the mo. Sorry, but this topic sure has made for an entertaining read.
  5. Love a good card trick - very impressive! Although when you watch back you can see him plant the card under her watch for the second trick, ha ha! The last magician who tackled me got truly confused when I innocently said I'd picked the "7 of aces..." That'll teach me for making full use of the buy one get one free cocktails and shooters... Never lived that down amongst my friends 9 years later...
  6. Now if one of you "cheaters / clever folk" win this, I'll roll about laughing! I entered because I knew the car, but applaud the logic going on here. Rookie mistake by Opie Oils...
  7. We've had quite a mild winter this year. Very wet, but mild in comparison to recent years. I stayed in kevlar jeans all throughout it and kept the thermal liner out of my jacket. Just been wearing winter socks (knee high), my jeans, two cycling base layers and bike jacket. Only struggled on a couple of trips where I had to crunch miles on the motorway (over 200) so the wind chill ended up getting to me. Wore a fleece to try and help but it didn't do much in all honesty. Needless to say I'm saving up for a better kit, but for now my collection of basic protection, old cycling gear and light waterproofs have seen me through. Understandably my current bike has more wind protection when compared with my YBR (plus heated grips), but I consider myself lucky this winter! Enjoyed every minute of the weather and hope we have a cracking 2014.
  8. Does this work for you Feliks? https://youtube.googleapis.com/v/eLZjq2vxD3Q%26feature=youtu.be
  9. Fantastic scenery Blackhat - I'm incredibly jealous!
  10. Vote for Tommy - DDT, Slice, Andrew, Foamy, Drewpy ( with new font), Bippo Vote for Kevs Noise I would like my cash back Only on the condition that it's a Tommy special - "ONWERS CLUB" was it?

    Forum tidying

No ribbing from me DDT, other forums I'm on have people managing to use it correctly. However, I've noticed Cynics been moving and locking threads too so you aren't alone. If I was a mod, I'd happily play boss too, ooooh the power, ha ha!
  12. I'm afraid my box is already leased out Andrew...

    My Bobber project

Really looking forward to seeing the completed Betty out in daylight noise! You'll just have to get another bike project to work on, ha ha.
  14. Oh Foamy... Your quest continues...
  15. No need, it's all far too amusing, ha ha! Had a crappy day at work but this thread got me laughing, so thanks guys! Just a shame I won't have a box at this years Squires for Foamy to put his helmet in...
  16. *Thud* indeed Foamy - Noise is surpassing your crudeness at an alarming rate these days...
  17. Katie - that there is a box most women would be proud of... Here was mine, a weighty bugger if I do say so myself. In fact, in demonstrating it's bulk to a friend I pulled a couple of muscles in my arm (no word of a lie)... That was the last time I touched it.
  18. I bet you would! Now Jimmy has given you a taste for Triumphs and all...
  19. Tommy... You cheeky bastard...! However I'd actually say mine is comparable... Anyway you'll be pleased to know I've removed my topbox forever so now have a nice sleek rear end (oi, oi). The mounting plate for it was so ridiculously heavy, when I took it off, couldn't believe it. Suppose I can't complain, it did come free with the bike!
  20. Managed a sneaky 100 mile jaunt today... Out around Woodhead, Sheffield, Strines Moor, Snake Pass, Winnats Pass, Castleton and back down Snake Pass. Going to miss my bike when I'm away next week... Woe...
  21. I suppose it depends on the copper who's following you. A friends from my old Mini days had black / silver plates in their 1992 model. They got pulled once so after that reverted back to normal plates and just used the others for photos and shows. Technically they shouldn't be used after '72 - so it's down to you whether to take that risk.
  22. Yes I live right at the start of Snake Pass. It's sad when something like this happens but as you say, that road is notorious for it. Yesterday was the first manic day of the year - bikers galore. So many of them speeding past my house towards Snake Pass (before it closed) at excessive speeds for a residential area.
