  1. Ha ha, I did!! Having a husky (dog) myself it was clearly on my mind... Never mind, I'd just come back from the pub so I'm blaming that...!! Hmm... Anyway, hope you're getting used to your new bike, they're bloody fast little things.
  2. Welcome Nigel! Better late than never. I'm in Glossop too so will keep an eye out for your XT. If you see someone on a Tiger 800 waving frantically, it'll be me, ha ha!
  3. Yay! Husky owner like me Welshy!! Lol! Oh and welcome to the forum, I'm t'other side of the Pennines, in Glossop! Share piccies when you can. Engaging brain (alcohol) - I'm guessing you're talking about your big bike...!! Ha ha! What an idiot...!

With my lack of knowledge I got a bit too enthusiastic on my YBR once and over-tightened the chain. That resulted in a ticking noise at low speeds and only when running (nothing from just spinning the wheel). Adjusted it to the correct requirements and all returned to normal. Could that be a possibility?

I've seen one before, perhaps it's the same one though...? Agreed, it's not exactly a looker...

Hey there, top speed on a 125 is so subjective. 60 is good. I got my old 125 up to an indicated 75 once but I had a good breeze pushing me along. Generally my YBR was comfortable at 55, but I could get it up to 65 no problem. Remember: - your weight and height WILL affect a small CC bike, so take that into consideration. - some people stretch the truth about their top speeds, don't know why, but they just do. - others may have removed some unnecessary weight or done some other mods to their bike. - when you're trying to go as fast as possible, are you tucking down and into the bike like others may be doing? Remember, elbows in will help too! Regarding fuel, very much open to debate there. I ended up putting Esso premium fuel in my YBR and noticed a difference. However I don't notice any difference in my car or Tiger, so can't really comment.

Spent all day with her, given her a nice groom and have her walking on the lead without pulling, so happy with her progress!

Yeah...! She's so pretty though. She is a year and hasn't had any structure or training - I also believe she's been hit in the past as she has a tendency to cower. So I'm currently whipping her into shape with the help of my 5 1/2 month Husky who's miles ahead of her from an obedience point of view. I am seeing improvements daily though as she settles into the pack.

Ha ha! Yes I do have one (husky), and at the moment I also have a husky / rottie cross in my presence... I also have leaves - but not that many...

Jeez, sorry to hear that mate. I really hope the person had the decency to not drive off. Also really hope your bike isn't too bad. As others have said, go through insurance if you can, my insurance wasn't affected by the lorry driver who destroyed my Classic Mini as the fault came off his insurance. Only trouble is if it was a hit and run. Some uninsured, drunk teenager smashed into my parents parked car outside our house and he drove off. Only managed to catch him because the whole number plate fell off!! Was a car his parents had just bought for him, but as there was no insurance it came off my parents. A kick in the nads considering they were in the house!
  15. Don't forget the ball gag, I've heard Foamy's a squealer.

That's not the kind of photo I expect your average young gentleman to have in his collection Foamy...

Out of interest, how much will that lower your bike by? Great meeting you at the weekend by the way!
  18. I did see Paul snapping away, Tommy.
  19. Some good pictures there. Had a great day, lovely meeting you all! Sorry I didn't actually get to hold your helmet Foamy, but I'm sure Kev will be on hand to assist you later...

    Very good!
  21. Hey guys, I'm another 'day tripper'. I'll probably be there about 11. Tommy has my mobile number from sure. If Paul is picking up messages, then my mobile number hasn't changed from Stafford.

You really don't want to press play Tommy. I made the mistake of watching it when I got into the office... Disturbing...
  23. How's the little fighter Tommy?
  24. I hope he's showing signs of improvement Tommy.
  25. Hey, I'm hoping to come however there's a potential I may need to work... I'm trying to avoid that though, worked til 11pm last night and started work at 6am this morning. Regardless of that though I'm getting a centre stand fitted on Saturday at 9am. If I can come I was going to bomb to Squires after that. I'll be in Chesterfield. Alternatively as I'll be in Leeds on Friday I was considering heading to Squires after work and then ducking out in the morning to sort my stand. Decisions...
