Carb adjustment (TDR 125 DT etc)
I'll have a good look at those possible cracks tomorrow or Monday. Would it be the bigger screw in the middle then?

Carb adjustment (TDR 125 DT etc)
Whilst using the throttle I'm experiencing some "bogging" after fitting the new throttle cable so I guess I need to adjust the carb in some way. It ticks over normally but struggles when the throttle is applied. I think it's the left-hand screw but not 100% sure. (crap picture courtesy of Apple iPhone)

Changing policy, new bike...
My insurer (Hastings Direct) wouldn't let me switch from the SR 50 to my TDR 125 and stated that I needed 2 years NCD before they could insure me!! Claimed back some of the money and took my business elsewhere.

Throttle cable question - 1993 TDR 125
Wemoto didn't have them in stock and couldn't say for certain if one from the DT R would fit, so I took a chance and it does. Throttle is silky smooth now. Bugger to change though, panels off, fuel tank etc. But at least now I know a bit more about what's going on under the seat! Thanks for the advice.

Throttle cable question - 1993 TDR 125
I'd looked at both site but they don't have the cable for the bike. I've just e-mailed Wemoto though to ask if they can suggest one from another model.

Throttle cable question - 1993 TDR 125
I'm looking for a new throttle cable for the above bike but I can't one that's for that specific model. Would anyone know if one from another bike would fit?

1993 TDR starting woes
Right, got it started. Only starts with the manual choke set on full though, turn this off and the engine revs it's nuts off. So I guess i need to adjust the idle screw but I'm not 100% which one it is. The big one in the middle or the little one on the left? It's a PHBH28 VS. I would upload a picture but can't for some reason.

1993 TDR starting woes
I have spark AND the starter for some reason has even tried to run properly and almost started the bike. I've tried kicking over but it stil won't start though.

Given the choice would you wear a helmet?
I prefer to wear it and not need it rather than need it and not wear it!!

1993 TDR starting woes
As the title shows, I'm having problems getting the thing to start. I switch the ignition on and I hear what I assume is the power valve self-checking. I then try the electric start only to get a single click from the starter solenoid. (starter is brand new, thought this would sort the issues) The battery is new and putting out a good charge. It does have fuel. The plug is new and clean Even trying to kick-start it won't fire it up. It has compression but won't catch. I've tried to put the bike in gear, rock it back and forward a little to see if that helps the starter but no luck. If anyone can give me a few more things to try I'd really appreciate it. (If you are local and can spare some time to have a look at it yourself I can supply tea, coffee and bacon butties)

Hello folks
Already on order i'm afraid. I did toy with the idea of silver but went for the red option as it ties in with my helmet colours.

Hello folks
I'm Graham from the Wirral, near Liverpool. After scooting around on my Aprilia SR 50 for a while to get my confidence up, I've taken the jump onto a 1993 TDR 125. The last time I rode a bike with gears was about 25 years ago (I'm now 35) and the thought of doing it was a bit daunting until I had a go on my friends DT 125 the other week. I wasn't as bad as I expected so I went on the hunt for a bargain bike to start with. Then, I managed to pick up the TDR for £450. It only needed a kick start pedal, new clutch/brake levers and a few panel screws/bolts replacing and a good few Monster Energy stickers removing as they looked tacky. Future plans are - Respray the swinging arm and fit a Mono Cross decal New red anodised bolts all round New kick start - Now fitted New levers - Now fitted New battery Different mirrors As it stands at the moment
