Back in 1991 I joined the Dog Section, and immediately was bombarded with all sorts of advice and information. One older guy took me aside and told me 'never mind all that, heres my advice...Trust no cnut above the rank of Dog' I have held on to that sage offering ever since. My auld mates favourite saying was 'spick and span...Dangerous man. Bag of shite...mans' alright' yea you've guessed it, he was a bag of shite.

Not sure about the DVLA, but the passport office recommend sending multiple applications together so maybe thats the advice from all Govt departments
  6. Agree with Foamy, new tyres but I would say you should change the fluid as well. Easy enough to do with an easy bleed kit (basically a length of tube blanked at one end and a small slit in it). Fit the open end over the bleed nipple, place the slitted end in a jar with some fluid in it. Open the reservoir, open the bleed nipple, and pump away to your hearts content. Make sure the reservoir does not empty or you'll get air bubbles
  7. Is Barnard Castle the one on the West side of the A66 just googled it and I'm thinking of Brougham Castle

I genuinely dont know Ian. 105mile round trip to work could take anything between £13 and £16 depending on how spirited I was riding. As a comparison my Triumph Bonneville will be between £9 and £12, and my Honda civic 1.4 car will be around £14

Pretty much so. You would need to get brackets to fit tho'
  13. I sing at the lights, I sing riding along, I sing all the while on the bike. I'm at my happiest on a bike (although according to the missus that won't mean much as I'm a constant moaning b'stard in her eyes)

We used to stand at that hairpin, my pal would cup one hand to his ear and declare 'hark I hear disaster coming', point at a rider and invariably this guy would fall off. He was either very good at reading race lines or else he is a witch

Not the full picture You should wait at the scene for a 'reasonable' time, if unable to find the owner of the property you damaged, then you must report it to the Police at the earliest opportunity but within 24hrs. Basically if you pass a number of Cop shops on the way home but dont report it until the next day, suspicions will be raised.

Don't know what I'll get, but I remember a number of years ago, my pals auld man got a 4 into 1 for a Z1100, when asked what use that is to him, his son, my mate replied, 'ok then I'll have it, it'll fit my bike'

Know what gets me, people post intros on this forum, they then post queries in the workshop section, they talk about yamahas, they talk about non yams all in the correct sections, then a bluddy Mod starts a thread about the blooming astral calendar in the bike section........shouldn't be allowed I tell you, rant, rant, rant
