Belfast to Donegal is roughly 100odd miles, going via Enniskillen, a bit longer and slower going the top road (but you'll know this of course). We tend to head over to Ballyshannon Trad festival every second year and have a great time there

I ran an XS1100 back in the day and enjoyed it greatly. The rubber frame was an 'experience' when battering on...... Great bike, took the wife and I all over Britain and Ireland, including a dash from Galway to Belfast (about 180mls) to catch a ferry with only 3 cylinders going. Diagnosed a cracked coil when back home, and I would love another one

  20. Capt'n If that's the going rate for a kidney, why don't you flog your spare one and pick up the tool, you know it makes sense. Then, if anything goes wrong with the one thats left, DT can get you a new one....simples
  21. Fek me Ttasky, I would have been more concerned re: NOT kidding about stilsons and molegrips, you must really hate gasket goo. FWIW, I was kidding about all 3, just entering into the spirit of DTs post
  22. Obviously not ref the gasket goo, the hammers, stilsons and mole grips but I wouldn't keep a shifting spanner in my box
  23. Loads of Instant gasket....I need it, its a Triumph 3lb hammer 5lb hammer set of mole grips set of stilsons Adjustable spanner Only kidding by the way

Well, He took it in for it's MOT and it passed with no advisorys, so I must be doing something correct. Today I went and prepped my bike. Refitted the tank (I'll get it painted at another time)added fuel and away it went. Surprise surprise, Slice, it has an oil leak. The rocker / cam cover gasket must have hardened so I'll order one of those up in the morning.....anyway happy daze in the mckenna household
