  1. I did that all the time when walking in groups. It's become such a reflex that I even did it at my father's funeral, to see if he was keeping pace.
  2. Thanks for the feedback, Cynic, especially considering that it confirms what I was thinking.
  3. Hi all While walking to the DVLA this afternoon, to apply for a British driver's license, I caught myself regularly doing "lifesavers" to see if I could "safely overtake" another pedestrian. I think it's something I've always been doing naturally but only made the bike connection today. Is it something you've noticed yourself doing too?
  4. Thanks for the feedback, neversaydie. I'm going to stick to just changing the sprockets and chain (swapping the 16 to a 17 at the front).
  5. Welcome to the forum, Steve.
  6. Welcome to the forum, ThunderCalgary.
  7. Hello Barmy You might be new to the forum but not to riding I'm sure.
  8. P.S: I might just go for the simpler 17 teeth front sprocket mod. (still changing the chain and back sprocket).
  9. Hi all As the chain on my newly acquired XVS 125 shows quite a bit of rust I am thinking of having it changed. Having read the original " thread I'm leaning towards changing the sprockets as well (maybe using a DID or AFAM kit?). Do you guys have any opinions/recommendations about the modifications made by Markyboy27? @Markyboy27: still happy with the modifications you made? Thanks in advance.
  10. Thanks, Campaman. One is included with the bike which, by the way, should be delivered to me in a couple of hours.
  11. I've just learned that I can't pass the CBT on Saturday because I need a British driving license. I'll bring the application to the DVLA on Friday and hopefully will get the license before the next local CBT in two weeks.
  12. Well, I ordered the Xena xx14. I'll let you know how I get along. I'm renting a flat, no garage, so I'll ask the landlord if I can install an anchor somewhere.
  13. No rambling at all, Ttaskmaster, simply very informative.
