  1. No shame in that (IMO). Would've taken longer with a kick start. I actually stalled mine going up a ramp last week. I figure it's bound to happen sooner or later... was just glad I didn't roll backward or dump it.
  2. Hmm... I see what you mean. I can't find a schematic for the 2006 dt125x that shows the kickstart mechanism. I would call the Yamaha dealer and see if they know.
  3. Likewise! Looks like Airhead's got a video up for you. You should have a new spark plug sorted in no time.
  4. As DT502001 said "check the part # for both bikes if it's the same part# then yes." To do that, you can look at the online schematics on sites like powersportsplus.com for the different years/models and see if the part numbers are the same.
  5. I can't help with any derestriction info, but to the YOC!
  6. My little bike was running well, but would piss fuel out the carb overflow every time I turned her off. Had hoped to get by with tapping the float bowl, but no such luck. I think I've got it sorted now after a thorough carb clean. Took her out for a run and no leaks.
  7. At the risk of sounding completely dumb... is it possible to put the lamp in upside down? Going to hide now
  8. C'mon Foam-eh! Show 'em you've got the stamina. If we're behind, I'd vote we use Preload's RD (my dream bike ) for whatever month we need to get caught up.
  9. It shows the clutch cable as separate from the barrel end (http://www.partzilla.com/parts/search/Yamaha/Motorcycle/1968/YG5T/HANDLE+%26+WIRE/parts.html), but it still looks like the metal tube is part of the cable. The throttle cable has two pieces. Our clutch side is the left side... Is it the same in the UK? edit - that may be a stupid question.
  10. If it wasn't for bad luck, you'd have no luck at all. Sorry to hear that! But it should be a piece of cake. You'll have it sorted in no time.
  11. to the YOC! Now you've been bitten by the bug there's no going back... no crisis.
  12. aboard! +1 for getting a manual. It'll go over all the basic maintenance info and then some.
  13. Sorry I'm no help with the cable issue... but pictures would probably help. Check out this thread for help posting pics...

    Stolen YBR 125

Didn't show it on my phone until I used the view full site link. It looks pretty... here's hoping it lasts long enough.
  15. That's perfect! It's just like that in the states too. Such a sense of entitlement.
  16. No worries. If I could help, I would.
  17. Oh I feel for you! I too hate relying on other people. It's been nothing but "next week" with the shop that has my motor. Plus after I got my wheels mounted, they weren't true... so now the same shop has those again so they can fix it right this time. And I'm sure it'll be a whole lot more next weeks before I get those back too.
