As we're all approaching wooly long-john season and another cold winter, I was just wondering what tips anyone has for keeping their bikes protected from the elements overnight ? My bike sits on the driveway and sadly I don't have a garage (yet) & will have to make do with the driveway for at least this winter. Just worried that the ol' bike covers won't do the trick. Any help (as always) would be much appreciated.

Yeah - I agree. It really is for the most part a question of manners. Still - it's hard not to feel like a bit of a pleb when another bikers seems to totally ignore you

Got the bike back today - restricter fitted - now if I'd ever ridden the bike prior to this (which of course I didn't, as that would be illegal officer) I'd be trying not to get too depressed right now at the distinct lack of acceleration compared to before A top speed of 80-90 doesn't fuss me too much to be honest but it's gone from a bike that just feels like it wants to scream away at the lights to one that accelerates like my granny on her motability scooter on a good day .... with the wind behind her ...... and an empty catheter bag ....... with her dentures out

what are peoples thoughts on MAXXIS tyres - anyone used them before ? The chap servicing my bike has recommended them at a cost of £89 (front tyre only as the rear tyre is ok) Thanks for all the post thus far - really helpful

Thanks for the advice & pics - they look the business. 1 question though - with the centre pad, can you unclip one pannier at a time - say if you wanted to carry it in on a short visit (I visit patients daily in my job) and some soft luggage I've seen looks good but you have to loosen the entire system to take one pannier with you anywhere.
