By passing your A1 test you may ride a motorcycle up to 125 cc with power output up to 11 kW.

'snot too shabby. How much are they asking you for it?

Fair enough, thanks for the advice. Will have to look at booking some. Um, I'm not doing the A1, I'm just doing the standard A (don't want a full license and then still be stuck riding a 125 still) so I'll just have to restrict my 600 when I pass. Awesome, thanks. I'll definitely take you up on that. I'll be booking it next month I imagine, as I don't even get paid until the end of this month.

Yeah, the blind spots and stuff I know about - in this video, it was just parked cars with no junctions or turnings after them which is what confused me. Might send them a message on facebook. Hmm. I've not had lessons etc, but I've been riding for a year now. I know to check my mirrors, do my lifesavers, know my riding positions and all that stuff so I don't think I'll need the lessons with any luck - that's what I'm hoping anyways!

@AndyDtr08: Cheers! I'm not sure about the whole test. I watched a Mod 2 YouTube video and the guy on the bike kept making random lifesavers everytime he'd pass a parked car etc - that's not really needed, is it? I've never done that. @Neversaydie: Thank you and Cheers. Haha. @Blackhat: Thanking you kindly.

@Up.Yours: Cheers! I'll need all the luck that I can get. Although, I've been told Mod 2 is the easiest of the two, so maybe I'll be okay?! Haha. @Drewpy: Why thank you. And but of course. Tomato is the way forward! Some french baguette and maybe some cheese if you're feeling adventurous!

The latter of this video expresses my thoughts. HOWEVER: TLDW; Congratulations!

@Barkwind: Cheers! Let's just hope I can pass the final test now! @Nev: Thank you kindly!

Passed my Module 1 test! It's not the greatest achievement in the world and I'm outdone by a guy who just posted that he just passed his whole test, but y'know! Still worth celebrating me thinks. So, huzzah! One step close to riding my XJ600.

I accidentally wheelied my Honda Dylan 125 once. Not tried it on purpose on anything else though. I'd like to, but I can imagine it falling on me and I quite value my ribs.

@barkwindjammer: Yeah, I want the fairing off it - could probably sell it for £100 maybe? Then I've got 1/4 of the cost back already, haha. Want to maybe streetfight the XJ into something a bit more snazzy. @Screw: Glad to hear it's bullet proof! Don't think I'd get very far with it otherwise. I like to thrash my bikes a smidge! @Ttask: I plan on treating it pretty well, assuming no scumbags from the local area try to steal it or kick it over like my last bikes! Might have to invest in some sort of anti-dickhead device...

Does he have a website or any pictures anywhere?
  13. Have you still not seen any of your money yet?

I know in a previous post (to anybody that may have seen it) I mentioned I had an XJ600, but the truth is: I hadn't bought it yet, somebody was just waiting for me to buy it off them. HOWEVER, I now have it and it's all legally mine and shizz. I'd like to know what you all think of it. I paid £400 for it. It's on a 2000 plate (X Reg). It has Black touring fairing (as seen in the pictures). It has a Nexus exhaust and it also has heated grips. So, opinions?

Thanks loads to all of you for the support. It means a lot! However, I can't even afford to take my Module 1 again now for about a month. (Gotta love monthly pay from work). So looks like alls I can do now is just sit and wait!
  16. iSoupz replied to iSoupz's post in a topic in General
Ah well. Just means now I get to fester in a really bad mood for a while and decided whether I now book my Module 1 for the 3rd fucking time or if I just give up.

I failed. They failed me because my bike skid a little bit on the emergency stop. Normally, I wouldn't argue - but it's been raining for about 24 hours. Give me a fuckin' break.

It's looking unlikely at the minute, it's hammering it down!

Cheers to you all for the help and friendly advice. I've spent a while reading through it all and I'm sure it's going to come in very handy! I'll drop in tomorrow and let you all know if I pass or not. It'll probably be a fail, but y'know - I can always book it again!

Cheers! Mmm, looks like I'm going to have to take extra care with the rate it's raining, especially as I've heard stories of people breaking legs etc on the swerve section - which is pretty counter productive when trying to pass a test.
  21. Cheers Paul, I'm sure I will. I call the top bunk!
  22. Howdo all, I'm iSoupz! Been riding a Suzuki GZ125 for a while, but I've got myself a Yamaha XJ600N tucked away somewhere for when I pass my test - I guess that's like saying I'm saving the good cutlery for if the Queen comes to visit, but y'know... So, to sum up: Hello. I was never very good at introductions. |:

So, I'm doing my Module 1 Motorcycle test tomorrow. I'm doing it for the 2nd time now. The first time, I did everything perfectly but ended up putting my foot down during the slow riding part (THE LAST BASTARD PART). So, I'm giving it another shot. I shall remember this time, with any luck, to just look straight ahead instead of looking at the instructor and trying to balance. With all that having been said: Anybody got any advice for the test in general? Any advice for if I pass, regarding my Module 2 which I shall be booking assuming I pass? Cheers!

Thanks for the reply. I would like to stay on the right side of the law, I'm just not sure if I can afford to, haha. And yeah, I was looking at the 250s but they were all above my budget. £400 for the bike I'm getting is quite the bargain and I didn't really find any 250s that I liked for anywhere near the same price range. Plus, I know the history of this one as it's only had 1 owner and I know him personally etc.
  25. iSoupz replied to iSoupz's post in a topic in The Bar
Cheers for both the warm welcome and reply! Aha. If I get it restricted, I'm not gonna take it out. I'll never get the chance to thrash it down where I live, and it'll still reach ample speed with them in as far as I'm aware. I'm 18 as of 4 months ago, so I've got another 3 years to wait yet before I can take the Direct Access test. So, what would your advice be personally? Ride it like a restricted bike or just get it restricted?
