  1. To get married you will be in debt, its just like having a girlfriend bar the fact you have a bit of paper saying YOU GOT MUGGED FOR £3000 FOR THIS BIT OF PAPER. Your now married. Upon Divorce your better half gets half of what you own Every thing and you get to pay a monthly installment to the ex-wife charity. All joking a side, im happy with being married, just the flipping price of it all! took me n the wife 8 years till we decided to tie the knot but you get other folk who get married after being with there partners 3 weeks!!! Back on topic tho, hows the bike going?
  2. Hmmm, toughy. Thin lizzy is good but so is Hendrix! Why not a bit of black Sabbath? Or pink Floyd?
  3. Do these bikes have a Idle jet? (needle jet) possible culprit?
  4. Do you mean the standard torque setting of FT (fucking Tight)
  5. Yer see what you mean mate, Finger crossed for you. But in future, dont be scared of getting grease under your nails.
  6. Grouch! what are you doing? Yes you can do majority of the work yourself before getting rip off charlie to do it. Example: New rear brake disc/pads = 30min job (if bolts co-operate) New rear wheel bearings = bout 30 - 60Min job (do this when you do the brakes) New horn = 30 second job (bolt off / bolt on) New electric start = 2 min job (bolt off / Bolt on) Bash plate attaching = depending how bad its come off then could take about 2 hours (but i don't know what state its in) Stand tightening = 30 second job (come on do i REALLY need to explain this one?) lol You can do all this on a Saturday or a Sunday easy. Granted the brakes and the wheel bearing will be a wee bit of and arse ache but will save your self ££££ if you do it.
  7. Yer both of them have them fitted, (my custom did) im guessing that the previous owner of yours must have removed it when taking the seats off. They mount on to the rear fender using the same bolts as the riders seat. (if i remember correctly) It was the first thing i took off my bike as after a while they start to look shit with all the pulling they get from the pillion they soon go floppy. Have you got a sissy bar? if not id say get one of them rather than a flimsy bit of leather to hold onto.
  8. 55MPH is close to detonation, remember she is a cruiser lol. I would say you would have lost some grunt fitting the Harley pipes, (but id like to be corrected) Change gears lower down, listen to the engine and try not to pin her at top revs before gear changes.
  9. I would have got off and claimed a nice Merc wing mirror trophy. As for the Ice, cant really be avoided most times, but at least you was going slow enough to control the out come. Keep safe

    First run

Kinda wished someone would have pulled over for me to either help out with better bodging tools or even just roll me a smoke would have been nice, but i was soon back on the road again, im just thinking that i should really get on and fix the little bits that need doing before the engine drops out the bottom on my next ride. Ooo a Ducati multi strada very posh

JESUS CHRIST not another viggy. Na only messin. Happy birthday Elderson, Tidy bike
  12. Dan, This little pipe you talk about, is it the actual exhaust then the fatter pipe over the top of it? If so I'd advise you not to take that out as you will loss back pressure and you may find that you will either go slower or the bike will fail to start.

    First run

Yer i took the draggy out yesterday to a Karate Seminar and all was great till i started riding home, then the bolts holding the rear fender struts came off so it was a quick bodge job with sparky tape and a careful ride home. Just wish i could have brought her to work today

  21. Hi Oli, Welcome to the club, Why not take it down and get it dyno run first to see what she has, then get her restricted and re-dyno run then you have two or three bits of paper proving that its all legal and legit. also why not go down and have a chat with the local plod station to see what they say. if your trying to stay on the right side of the law they will be more than happy to help you out
