  1. If you think your 9 year old engine looks clean.inside, you wanna check the 35 year old castings on my DT! Unbelievable when you compare it to an old English bike! Keep up the good work!
  2. Charging a phone for 12 hours shouldnt drain your battery too much. Ive got a 2A cigarette lighter jobby, soldered a cable to the tip and shield, put some heatshrink over the whole shebang. It now looks factory, with no dismantling. Plus point is I still get a healthy 5v from it when using on a 6v system on my DT. Its rated at 12v in 5 out.
  3. Its not as messy with tubes. Plus why pay a monkey to change your tyres?
  4. The slime.bottle tells you how much to use. Theres a few ebay sellers, but.one cycling company do 6 smaller bottles much much cheaper than.everyone else.
  5. Google pro gaff. We've been using it at work for years.
  6. Slime is the product youre after. Buy it in bulk on ebay?
  7. That stuff smells lovely!
  8. Castrol avtevo is only £4 in asda at the moment.

The serrow is an xt225, but I think the later ones may be a 250. Very low low seat, good bike. Or just get a dt175mx.
  10. Ive got four!

Yeh a yz250 may kill you. Seriously, people dont realise how much power/how snappy they are. It's not like a 250 trail bike.... A yz 125 should be a cool bike that you can grow into mate,

It would certainly keep my Uncle happy if you did it. He was telling me to do the exact same with one of my DT frames the other day

Rs 200 engine is wide and heavy in comparison. Electric start doesnt help.

If you get a dt engine for it you can get an age related plate. Dont be shouting about the ts forks and you'll probably be ok.

  19. ok i lied Sorry I must have had RD's on the brain. Which is daft because the rd400 was a twin shock. There was an optional spring for the dt175mx, and if this wasnt stiff enough the next one up was a standard spring from a DT250/400 I will post some pics of my source when Ive moved, Ed

Er mine looks like yours but less dusty. The bars were an option thing. Parts book states cables for standard bars and "up bars" So I.dont feel bad about swapping them. Yeh youre right. Its mini!

Ive just bought one of these too! Same colour. Unless you have the tight leather trousers and studs to match those awful bars, id be putting the flat bars on it!
  23. Loadsa stuff on.ebay. Type in cafe racer rear light for example and loads of universal things come up.
  24. Not too sure on the lc. The air cooled ones have the cubic capacity marked on the.left hand side of the barrel where it meets the crank case. Wherever it is on an lc, theres nothing to say someone hasnt ground it off making it unidentifiable.
  25. Could possibly have a 80cc barrel on it? Making it that bit quicker? Imo it's neither a moped nor a scooter, as it has no pedals, nor is it a stepthru machine. However in Britain 50cc motorbikes are often called mopeds. You will have to check with your local authority how they class it.
