  1. Madame Tussauds? He looks like a right sneaky, lying b4stard............................ and Gaddafi doesn't look much better.
  2. An injured dog limps into a bar on three legs, and says; “I’m looking for the guy who shot my paw!”
  3. This was when the oil was cheap and after Lockerbie and the shooting of WPC Yvonne Fletcher in London.
  4. It's not as if Libya have any oil . As for the League of Arab Nations, I doubt if the likes of Rooney or Ronaldo would play in it! I can't name one of their teams.
  5. We can bomb them as well. We have disbanded the Army, Navy and RAF and kept them on short rations for long enough. Maybe we can get all people on the dole to be our new forces. Financially a better scenario and better for unemployment numbers.
  6. Hi and welcome, hoots mon, there are a lot of Scots joining. Nothing to do with the rugby, is it? I see a couple of GT's in the garage. Good stuff.
  7. Hi and welcome from the UK Sarge. 'shun!!!!!

  9. Hi and welcome. A lot of Dragstar owners here, but I don't have one.
  10. Hi and welcome. All the frustration of running in a new bike but all the great smells of owning a new bike. Be careful.
  11. Richa have a good reputation as far as I am concerned. I have been looking at their stuff recently. Before you go for a brand think about other issues and get your mind set. Biking gear is not cheap. Do you want protection built in? Does it have to be waterproof? Do they do my size? Lengths as well as around It is all year , summer, winter? Is it you only set? Colour? Style? What about cordura (or other fabric) instead of leather? Do you walk or shop when riding so will you be walking around town in your biking gear? If you buy non waterproof can you afford to get a set of waterproofs? Does it have a thermal that can be removed? Personally I have gone through loads of brands in the last 35 or so years. Presently have 2 AGV lids, a Givi lid, a RST leather jacket, RST cordura trousers, Weise jacket, an Oxford jacket, Akito boots, Spada boots, Spada gloves, weise gloves plus a few more bits that I can't remember. Personally I like Weise fabric stuff. Nothing I have ever had from them has ever leaked, top quality zips and stuff and most has, or can be fitted with, body armour. Some of the armour pockets are too small for Forcefield armour BTW as I have a box of Knox and Forcefield armour. I would keep away from Bikersgear (the Australian stuff that sells on evilbay). My opinion for what its worth. You pay your money........................ just be informed, otherwise it gets expensive. Edit: Try and get the opportunity to try the stuff on, especially if you are buying online. Some of the sizing is very, very strange and the same size in different makes are really different sizes if you know what I mean.
  12. I would have gone black but if it does the job.........................
  13. Hi, welcome and enjoy Telstar.
  14. Hi and welcome. I share a carb problem............................. I eat too many of them. Especially in the form of chips. Hope you enjoy the forum.
  15. Hi and welcome. A big step up in bikes. Nice plan
  16. Hi and welcome.
  17. I am off to join the Pioneer corp. Not sure about the ears but I am quite partial to a pie. Got to laugh given the state of the world at the moment. Maybe Lenny Henery, Wogan and Bono can get together to do some fund raising for the UK in a while

    Light bulbs

 I can laugh now Drewps but was not a happy bunny having driven to the B&Q warehouse. I ordered 3 online today. £16 delivered. I am luck, both my sons have newish houses. My number one son is a sparks anyway so maybe I should have asked him what to do . DirtyDT top tip: Don't but a light fitting because you like it, but one because the bulbs are cheap and available, regardless of what the fitting looks like

    Light bulbs

My upstairs hall light blew a couple of bulbs recently, the fitting takes 3 bulbs. No problems I have a (growing) selection or sizes and fittings. Out comes the bulb and I was surprised. I did actually fit the light fitting but could not remember the type of bulb. That is interesting I hear you say; Is it a Bayonet fitting - no Is it a small bayonet fitting - no Is it a screw fitting - no Is it a small screw fitting - no. That is not to mention low energy, 40w, 60w, 100w variations. It is a Phillips pl-c 13w/827/2p. That is a 13 watt, cool white, 2pin fluorescent disguised as a light bulb to you and me. Armed with this information I go off to B&Q and search their huge selection of bulbs. I can't find them, and trust me they have more selections than you can wave a stick at. The closest bulbs to the ones I am looking for are £6.68 each. £6.68 It would be cheaper to but a new fitting. Have a look at THIS!!!!!!!!!!
  20. It is still going, the price is close to £11,000 and getting close to 500,000 views.
  21. No. Madness is a great band. It is stupidity. The insurance companies have learnt that they can make a good profit from "admin changes". a nice £25 or there-a-bouts for a new sheet of paper. I have found that, given my age and details, there are little savings for trying to reduce my premiums. Adding a good lock for better security - save £5 (the lock costs £65 and it is now a condition that I use it or theft is not covered) Insuring a SV650 fully comp - £96 Insuring a TS250 fully comp - £86 Adding a Scorpion titanium exhaust to the SV - no additional premium. Change of bike £25 + additional risk premium.
  22. Hi and welcome Bernie. My advice? Sell the Divi, add the cash for the WP/Olins, add the cash for the front end change, add the cash for the engine tweek....................... and buy a different bike.
  23. Hi and welcome. A very good mileage on the bike.
  24. Hi and welcome.
