  1. Excellent picture Ian. Mine is the Suzuki one, not the MZ version. I do love the MZ sort of pinging noise the engine makes.
  2. I have had the cover for nearly 3 years. It has faded in parts and the bottom is starting to fray due to rubbing on the ground. It is not now 100% waterproof but still holds nearly all the rain off. It has 2 reinforced holes at both the front and rear and I use the rear to put a chain through, via the rear wheel and ground anchor. I use a short U lock through the front holes to secure the front, via the front discs. If I leave the front lock off, it can blow off the front but that is due to my laziness rather than anything else. There is also a belly strap. It is good, thick, quality with a rear reflector, 2 vents and a part inner, soft, lining to protect some of the bodywork. Well the one I have does. I brought the cheaper Oxford one for the TS recently and this is nowhere near the quality of the Motrax one. I would buy another one when this gives up the ghost but I expect that it will be good for another couple of years. I don't put the cover on as soon as I get home. I wait until the bike has cooled. Brought new from fleabay. Hope this helps.
  3. Rather than a canvas one why not look at something inbetween? I have 2 different covers; a Motrax deluxe and an Oxford Aqualux one. The Motrax is very good quality and a lot better and heavier that the Oxford one. Linky to the Motrax one here (if you go for one, make sure you get the right size) LINKY
  4. Thread locked. Posted in the wrong section.

Not really Andrew, the the normal rubbish I come out with. That was very deep. Actually a very interesting pick of a name.
  6. I have moved it. I think this post would have been better if you had asked for it to be moved. Lets hope I don't start hitting that "Remove" button. Cheers Jason. Mistakes will happen. On my bike, the spanner goes on the seat.

I really wanted to be called "Mongo the Merciless"
  8. Hi and welcome to the forum.
  9. Caesars Palace, Vegas on "the Kings" World tour?
  10. There is always the Fizzie rally. Same venue.
  11. The first thing I would do, before I spent any money on them, would be to apply for the log books. A letter will go out to the current owner saying that you have applied for the log books. It the small print says that they can recoup their money by selling them after a period of time you should have no problems. He may show some interest so I would do that first .
  12. Happy birthday from me too.

    And from me.
  14. Hi and welcome to the forum. Sitting in sunny Nottingham as I type.
  15. A Raleigh chopper.
  16. Hi and welcome to the forum.
  17. Where are you based Andrew? There might be someone nearby who is going and can meet you part way through the journey. Ride the rest together.
  18. More, please! I have managed to sneak in 3 so far. Well 2 1/2 really.
  19. I can't make this year but it is 100miles from me. I went last year on the TS that was running like a pig and wouldn't realistically do more than 45 MPH constantly. That with an untested engine and a bike just rebuilt and on the road for a week since 1995.
  20. No need to apologise fella. The beauty of having the workshop - and other specialist sections - is that the people with an interest and knowledge of these specialties tend to "hang about" in them more often. This normally gives a better selection of advice, opinion or help. Easily remedied.
  21. Hi and welcome to the forum.
  22. No problems Billy. Do you leave your fuel tap on when parked? Before you need to start it, take out the plug and describe the colour and dampness. What happens if you try and start it with the fuel cap off? What happens if you try and start it with the air filter off? - If it starts, turn it off as soon as possible. Don't let it run for too long When was the last time the carb was cleaned out? That should start you off. Let us know what happens on each.
  23. Welcome to the grumpy club. One of the good things about being old is that you can be cantankerous, everyone will expect it. Rather than old, I would say "experienced". Welcome to the club and be happy you made it.
  24. But isn't that the point? The reason that there are different sections is that people can follow what interests them. Some people may not visit a particular section, Classics for example, because they may not have any interest in classic bikes. Having different sections allows people to just follow what they want without trawling through everything else. Maybe the question should be; why should anyone be against posting in the correct section? I disagree with the comment about "debating society". There have been some good debates and opinions shared, and sought, over the years on this forum.
