They are Molex too, just round or flat pins. The important part is to get the correct crimp. Don't use one designed for those crappy blue/red/yellow coloured ones.

LINKY This site is down until the weekend LINKY Look for molex blocks
  3. Hi and welcome to the forum.
  4. Have a look here Please be aware that the workshop is the place to post workshop questions but the link should explain how to get pictures into the forum.
  5. Taper bearings are bulkier than balls and make the top part of the yolk stem sit higher. I fitted some to the TS and it looks wrong when apart with only a small amount of grip for the adjusting nut. It can make you attempt to over tighten to clamp it down more. I am changing the head bearings on the RD and have gone for balls. Some people put the tapers in the bottom only and use the balls in the top. I managed to get a complete set of NOS parts for the RD so I can decide if I want to reuse the bearing cups or replace them too. It is a right pain when something isnt broken but after what should be a quick tinker a problem arises.
  6. We could change it to YMCA and all dress as the Village people.
  7. You could change the rear sprocket to a smaller size which will make the top speed higher but the acceleration slower. A bit of a compromise really. Not sure if they are restricted as standard but someone will come along and let you know.
  8. I'm not Bi and at least mine is a Yami, so there!!
  9. Hi and welcome to the forum. Are you shy?
  10. Re: the back break. In drums the cams (the part that pushes the brake shoes onto the drum), can lock on and the springs can fail. Take the rear wheel off and check inside the drum to make sure it is all working in there.
  11. I would say "YOC 5th annual meet or bust. Squires 2014" But I will have one anyway, large please.
  12. How very dare you? The last thing I could be called is cheap. They pay me stacks of cash to wander around a couple of sites looking important. Every now and again some work breaks out but I soon put a stop to that. It only encourages people and if I let it go once they would expect some every day.
  13. People rate ACF, I like GT85. It smells fab too and does the same job. LINKY
  14. That looks classy Drewps. Just got to be careful with ironing it inside out. So red shirts of some kind with "YOC 5th annual meat in. Squires or bust 2014" + web address Job done.
  15. Is the front plug wet with petrol? Have you tested the front plug for a spark?
  16. It would lose the club and event identity. The simplest way is to agree what style of shirt, what colour and what logo/text. The only differences would be the size. I would prefer a polo shirt, any colour any text in a large. If it was a T shirt or paddock/bowling type shirt then that is fine too. People dont have to buy one and my ACRD ones will probably make an appearance. Lets limit the options, no personalisation and all the same colour otherwise it is not going to happen. If we have something that mentions the 5th annual event then it should be a limited addition made only for 2014. Darker colours are better as they dont show marks if packed and worn on the Saturday. So we need a black/dark blue/dark green/dark red with something like "YOC 5th annual meeting. Squires or bust 2014" with the sites web address in a T shirt/polo neck/paddock style. Just my opinion - again.
  17. Get a proper rebore Foamy. It will save a lot of pain later.
  18. Too true. This is the way I see it. Some people want a reliable bike with a solid engine that handles ok and has a little poke. If that was all of us we would all have one bike and it would be a mid cc Honda CB. Gladly some of us want something that may be a little hard to live with. More and more people are running classic bikes and the ones with limited intellegence, classic 2 stroke bikes. A trip to a classic event with all of the smells and sounds does make people investigate buying a classic or a 2 stroke. Most of us older people, who were brought up on 2 strokes, just love them most of the time and hate them the rest of the time. I took one of the RD's for its MOT the other day and it turned heads. It is not a show winning condition bike, rather tidy and a little tired. People comment and talk to you. To me a modern bike is just that; modern. They have no soul. With the Gas Gas, and believe me that I have looked at getting one but dont have the inside leg for one, i would get frustrated at having to fill up all of the time but as soon as the tank was full I would be grinning all of the way home. That is just my view and I may not be right.
  19. I'll bear you in mind Grouchy. Does it look like I am going to clean it? I prefer GT85 rather that ACF Tyres are Battleax BT023's with a nice 180 on the rear.
  20. Hi and welcome to the forum Nick.
  21. Still not run in yet but it is starting to take on the DirtyDT patina. The weather has been so bad that the chicken strips are still massive.
