  1. Da da da ra ra-tsch tsch Isn't that the theme tune to Crossroads? There is a word for not bothering - Attrition. This is a "proper" calculation based on historical data of how many people normally don't bother. It comes in many guises including cashback schemes where you apply for a discount, by voucher normally, over a certain period. They know people don't do it or lose track. Good advice but I can't be arsed to go to Asda (ASsociated DAiries). I have a Tesco Extra in the next street.
  2. Hi and welcome, If it was my choice, given the bikes age, I would look for a 4 stroke to commute and look for a 2 stroke for fun once you have saved the gas costs.
  3. Mine is already starting to get sweltering at times. It has been a good biking week so far. I just wish my ability was up to the same standard as my tyres. Almost came a cropper during the week throwing the bike into a roundabout. Tyres held fine, I just didn't need to lean as much and dropped in too quickly. Lucky the bike is tolerant to my riding style. I did get the "cold sweats" though

  5. We could put them all on benefits.

The number 7. Synonymous with him. What a lifestyle! Envied by me, a young biker back in the '70's.
  12. A ) Here B ) Items 2 & 12 in the schematic above. Or look on evilbay for a front end.
  13. +1. I concur
  14. Hi Thorwang and welcome. I like the meatballs joke. I had köttbullar in Ikea. I also like pickled herrings. That is a very nice looking bike! Welcome

  17. Hi and welcome to the forum .
  18. Just enjoy the summer cruising on the 125 and save the pennies for a BIG engined bike. Remember, the slower you go the more the people who will see you.
  19. Where is that thread? How do I apply? The RD500's are Ok but I didn't think anything special. They are a very deep pocket job. My mates used to clog up all the time, and that was when it was new !!
  20. SPANNER
  21. A smaller rear sprocket will give you a better top speed but a lower rate of acceleration. I wouldn't mess with the engine. I would recommend that you get a bigger cc bike. I assume that you have passed your test as you mention motorway riding. If you have not passed you test I would still say that get the test done and but a bigger cruiser is the best option.
  22. Now that is scary!
  23. Personally I do think it was a bit cheeky to open with such a blatant wanted ad. Just say hello and share your love of 2 strokes with us and feel the love back. The other thing is I wouldn't want to openly put your email address online as you will get bombarded with trash emails from all the email harvesters.
  24. Hi Tony, Good that you are still biking. There are pipes around but you will need deep pockets. Have a look HERE.
  25. I agree with that.
