  1. Hi and welcome to the forum stumpy.
  2. Hi Ollie, Welcome to the forum.
  3. There are gaps in the questionnaire answers and sort out the capitalisation but there are 2 main problems with this; 1) The survey is accessible to anyone so if it appeared on "gofastercarshatebikers" or "oldgrannysandflatcapdriversarebest" forums they could click whatever they wanted and you wouldn't know. 2) Answering a complex question with a "yes/no" answer does not work. If you said that you wanted more safety then that could be misconstrued so many ways from leg shields - old folk will remember that the tried to make them compulsory - to ABS, speed limiters, BHP limiters, more levels of licensing, compulsory daygo clothing etc. etc. None might be the actual thing you were considering. Making car drivers drive to a better standard would help - Checking that some are still alive and do have some sort of vision could also be considered. I was recently looking for a "Biker aware" sticker for the car but they seem very hard to find. I would have thought that I could have ordered a couple on the interweb but gave up trying.

To paraphrase someone off a recent episode of "Come dine with me"..............................."She has a lovely pair of personalities". Nigella I mean. Even more surprising if you look at her dad!!
  5. A very nice looking curvy.
  6. Not a real fan of Moto GP but I saw the video. Not good at all.
  7. Very scary for you. I hope you son fully recovers from what made him faint Mike.
  8. It's still wrong Merv!
  9. You can do it. You know you can.
  10. Fantastic intro. Welcome to the forum. The Honda was probably a 250 Superdream, commonly called Superslug or Wetdream where I lived. Popular then, not so popular now, that tells a story!!! Mind you, the Honda 400/4 was a bike to own.
  11. Hi and welcome to the forum.
  12. That doesn't look too bad. The problem you have is getting into the area. Heat is good, but not near fuel!! a BIG pipe wrench, but you may be limited for space. I would think that a quality socket tapped on with a decent size breaker bar would still shift that. There is a huge difference in cheap sockets and decent ones. Even if you pop to Halfords and buy a single one from their professional range, 1/2 inch drive. I am a big believer of "brute strength and ignorance" but I like a little plusgas to go with that too. I will warn you that sometimes they will just not shift and you will hear of people telling you to weld a nut onto it and use the nut to undo it.
  13. You could always give him your bike.
  14. The workshop is halfway down the main page. Lots of other good sections there as well. Just click the "forum" tab at the top of the page and then scroll down. A direct line to the workshop area is here LINKY
  15. Hi and welcome to the forum. Corrosion is the main reason the pump could be seized. I wouldn't take the top off unless I had to. drain everything, Plusgas the bores, not too much. Clean the carbs and tank and flush out the water changing the pump if it is definitely seized. try and turn the engine with the plugs out to see if things move around in the engine. new oil, water and fuel. A splash of fuel in each bore, plugs in and see what happens.
  16. With a mini being front wheel drive I would guess that the drive shafts would be in the way. RWD would work. I dont khow your level of engineering but things like rear wheel steering would take a massive effort in a mini. They are 2 subframes held together with a body shell. You would be better off by manufacturing a "chassis" which the shell could fit over. that way you could get into all the parts you needed without things getting in the way. get a front and rear subframe.and manufacture the chassis out of this. The chassis would then fit to the body using the original fitting points.

Get it road registered and ride it to Squires. Now that would be amazing.
  18. Hi and welcome to the forum. It could be handy to know.
  19. Fitting bike engines to cars has been done for a long while in kit cars. There should be a wealth of knowledge if you research this area. I doubt that you would get much of the power down in a mini and would end up just spinning the tyres most of the time. The 2 biggest factors to overcome are the drive - chain to shaft - and the gearbox linkage - sequential. Busa engines seem to be liked for the kit car scene. Stonking power. Good luck.
  20. hi and welcome to the forum.
  21. ok. the assumption is right. basically you would struggle to acceleratorate in top gear and the bikes revs would just drop. any hill would just see the bike slowing until you had to change down.
